Fiscal to Calendar Year Conversion

I am new to JDE. We are converting from a Fiscal Year to a Calendar Year and need our SalesHistory F4229 reloaded/rebuild based on the Calendar Year. Your insights on this how to proceed. Any help is much appreciated.

Clean posted batches

I have two news accounts created for auto updating thru automatic journal entries. These accounts are new and have no historical transactions.
Unfortunately, I have populated the accounts with lot of wrong JEs ( and also automatically posted). Is there any way to clean these accounts so that it will look like new accounts ?
I really dis like data base deletion using SQL. Is there any thing in JDE ( also I cannot go for void JEs, because it will generate the reverse entries) ?

Hawkeye Pathfinder - issue with Job Implosion *CPR and JDE World A73 ???

Is anyone using Hawkeye Pathfinder with JDE A73?

I am running the Hawkeye Pathfinder Job Implosion with Max Level as *CPR (in batch to an outfile) and the run times are very very high (Hours)
I end up cancelling the job, because I have no idea when the job will end.
Was wondering maybe I need some special setup for JDE World in Hawkeye

Was poking around in Hawkeye setup and noticed, there is an omit list on the setup screen to list program to omit from Xref build in Hawkeye, etc
Maybe some JDE programs should be listed there to be omitted??

Possibly Hawkeye is interpreting JDE as having recursive calls?

Just a guess, any help is appreciated

Unable to locate table in specified datasource for section

Hi all,

I have this specific UBE that is quite simple: it reads F3002 from a data selection set in the Initialize Section, then does a few inserts in the Do Section and finally launches another batch (in the End Section).

My problem is that sometimes, the batch ends in error. It's quite random. If I relaunch the batch on the same data selection, the error doesn't happen again. Please note that the batch is run on the enterprise server from a scheduler command.

When I look at the logs, here is what I find - the batch tries to read F3002 (main SQL requests between the Initialize Section and the Do Section), but it failed to do so... It then stops and doesn't go into the Do Section nor the End Section.

Hi ,

I need to know the Syntax of Using Math COPY API in C BSFN , When the requirement is to copy the DOCO from Table F56XXXXX to DOCO element placed in the data structure D56POCA.

I would like some one to help in framing the syntax below. I am not aware of first part of syntax below.

Advanced Price - Discount Over Net Value

Hello All,

I have to set up an advanced price rule and use net discounts.

Gross Item Price: 2507.73

Discount Type % Discount Discount Base Discount Applied New Discounted Base Price
( - ) Discount 1 13.540% $ 2,507.73 R$ 339.55 ( - ) $ 2,168.19
( - ) Discount 2 18.000% $ 2,168.19 R$ 390.27 ( - ) $ 1,777.91
( - ) Discount 3 11.220% $ 1,777.91 R$ 199.48 ( - ) $ 1,578.43

Basically, I need to give a discount over a discount (using the net value from previous discount) and I need to keep the Base price in the sales orders (it can not be changed due local regulations). Due this, I can only use adjustment control codes 3 or 6. Does anyone have any idea in how to set up this and not change the gross amount?

async BSFN call from a BSFN

I am trying to call asynchronously a BSFN from another BSFN. I basically want the calling BSFN to trigger the other BSFN just before the end of the code, and finish while the other BSFN runs.

I have come across this API JdeCallObjectThreaded, but it is making unstable my fat client after I run it, I am missing something probably.

Have you used this API? There is a join function that I don't want to call, since I want the BSFN that is calling to continue and finish while the other runs. Do I need to call the join function? If not, what do I do with the handle the first function returns? I am freeing this handle now and maybe I should not.

If you have done this, do you have some sample code on how to use it?

Do you have other suggestions for async BSFN calls?

Get JDE report to Excel

I am a VBA developer and trying to get the Output of a report from JDE to Excel through ODBC.

I am able to connect to JDE using New Query option in Excel and I can see the tables but unable to find the data I am looking for.

We run a Gain and Losses report and then extract the report through Iseries and use the extracted data to create final reports.

However the task assigned to me is to run the reports in JDE and extract the data to get the final report but through Iseries I am unable to automate.

Hence was trying to get the report through ODBC directly to Excel.

I am unable to find the table or the view for the report in the list of tables under QGPL. The JDE team says it should be under F0411 table but I cannot find the table in the tree.

Debugging level when running BSFNs is different a server UBE debug log

Hi folks,

If you run a job with advanced options level 6 etc and produce a log, you see IF statements and assignments.
If you debug a BSFN through ObjectBrowser for example you won't. Only SQL and BSFN calls.

Is there any way to get a local debug log as detailed as those from the servers for a UBE? (showing IFs etc)

CafeOne and Form Interconnect

I am trying to Create a CafeOne Layout which is successful in some aspects however some of the functionality of this form is enabled by a Form Interconnect when it is called from within another application, is there a way to pass a Form Interconnect parameter to a CafeOne frame or an I going to be limited to making a copy of the application and modifying the code and then calling the copy?

9.2 with Tools Release 9.2.0.5

Developed a new CafeOne layout and have published to all users, now I would like to have all users have this CafeOne Layout set as their default, is there a way to push this out to users either through a PO, Database Update, E1 Page, Composed Page .... anything else I am at a loss on this one. Destroying expired lots

We have expired lots that we ship to a company that destroys those lots. We would like to transact those lots in JDE but JDE doesn't allow ship confirm of expired lots. I am looking for how various companies handle this requirement in JDE? We have been told to advance the expiry date to allow the transaction to go through but that kind of defeats the purpose of the expiry date. We have been told to do Inventory adjustments but that doesn't reflect physically what is happening or allow us to print the pack slip etc.
Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

I am trying to check if the price in 2 way match against voucher and PO is the same.

Comparing THE PRICE F4311.PDAEXP = F43121.PRAPTD for prmatc = 2

Is this the right field which is compared during voucher match program as sometimes there is a huge difference.

Also which field AP LEDGER F0411 can i compare between ap ledger and Voucher

We have a requirement where we need to process close to 1 million transactions and burst those into multiple lines based on some rules and transaction types. The expected burst volume is 3-5 million transactions. We are trying to see if it will be feasible to perform the bursting logic i.e., converting 1 to many configuring required rules in JDE through a custom solution. Need your inputs on the following points:

1. Can we handle such volume of records in JDE through some batch process?
2. Considering the volume of transactions, can we choose to have separate database outside JDE for input and output (burst details)? This means we need to access foreign tables for bursting process and write output to another foreign DB? Can this be done?

Any inputs much appreciated.
