How to fetch data for multiple values ?

Hello All,

So my organisation wants me to fetch data from JDE for 5 years.
The data is huge like around 120000 for 1 years.

All I have is a customer master with 800 customer names and their Unqiue codes
These codes and names also feature in the JDE records among pretty much other details.

I wanted to know how can I pull the data for all these 800 customer codes for 5 years.
Sorry I'm new to JDE so don't know how to do it..

SQL Server Always On Availability Groups

Has anyone tried configuring E1 using SQL Server Always On Availability Groups (AOAG)?

The official line from Oracle is that it is not supported yet – because they have not tested it. (It was only released five years ago!)
But we cannot see why it should not work.
Perhaps we would have to avoid configuring a listener (although it would be nice if it worked) – but we can see no reason why the standard “database mirroring” and manual failover functionality within AOAG would not work; the CNC configuration and JDE middleware would surely be unaware that AOAG was configured beneath the covers?

(We are currently in the design process of a new installation of E1 9.2 on either SQL 2014 or SQL 2016 – and AOAG offers by far the best options for HA, DR and real-time reporting.)

Can't re-add item that was deleted

User added an item and b/p record, then deleted both. When tried to re-add, gets error message saying already exists. Found an entry in F4111 and removed. Still getting same error. Looking for insight into what other tables P4101 may be checking

R47011 and getting VR03 mapped through into F4211

Hi folks,

I've been asked to look at how I can get a field from a EDI B2B signal mapped down from F47012 into F4211.SDVR03

Looking at the UBE F4211 FS Edit Line B4200310 doesn't have VR03.

So we update F47012.VR03 and we want this to end up on F4211....base E1 R47011 and the Edit Line doresn't do that

So any ideas? Is there a BSFN that I can append to the F4211 cache at all? I know there is one for the URRF type fields, but that's it.

Disable and Enable a required field in a App

Hey guys, I am modifying a base code application that needs 3 fields required fields to be either turned on/off. The preferred solution is to use a Processing Option to do this so in the future the end user can either turn on the required field or off. I am wondering if I can get suggestions on apps that already do the same thing I described above or can point me in the right direction. So my processing option would being either a 0 = false or 1 = true, based on which one it is the Application will not throw an error in red telling the end user he needs to enter the information into that field.

FYI - I am new to JDE, I have only been working with it now for 2 months. Keep in mind - if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all... move along. I do not need to be discouraged from pursuing a further interest in JDE development I've come to like the tool and I can definitely see its uses, advantages and disadvantages. Think back when you were first learning it, did you know everything?

Looking to go Green with paperwork, Document Management?

We are embarking on a project to reduce paper. We are looking for ideas/recommendations from other users for 3rd party software and/or custom built processes within JDE E1 to attach related documents to Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, etc. This would include both hard copy and electronic documents.

BSSV: call to trigger business function F4201_UPDATEAFTER: GetProcAddress failed

We are setting up new BSSV Processes in JDE 9.2 (Tools Release 9.2.1) with the database residing on an I-Series. We created a BSSV to receive eCommerce Orders thorugh our custom published service and have our BSSV internal service create salesOrders in JDE. After the SalesOrder has been generated we do "manual" updates to F4201 and F4211 and some other custom tables. In F4201 all we do is,we update the two fields ZON and AFT where KCOO, DOCO and DCTO matches the created sales order values.

Now in DV920 we can run the process both locally on JDeveloper and on the server and everything works without any problems. But when I take the same order and try to run it through in PD920, the sales order gets generated but the F4201 update fails with the following error message:

When checking the logs on the server we saw that it is looking for the function F4201_UPDATEAFTER in library JDBTRG2. We do not seem to have this function in either DV920 or PD920. So it is weird that we are not getting this error message in DV920?

Any ideas?

Hello there

Just wondering how you setup your JDE on web? is it https or http?

We have setup as http but will do one point with https and really don't see big difference as JDE running internally

Any thought please share

Left Padding MCU - BSSV

Hi All,


I am new to BSSV.


In BSSV, i am passing Business unit as input...but the problem is
the actual Business unit value is " 2501000"...
but when the input value is being passed from 3rd party it is considering as "2501000" which is incorrect.

The spaces in the beginning of MCU value is missing.


How to append with the spaces in BSSV.

Accessing Web Version from a Mac using Windows 10

We have a Mac user accessing One World ERP1 using Windows 10. He cannot get access to the thin client (web version) of OW ERP1.
ON Our release he needs to use IE Browser. We have special procedures to access appln from a Mac.

We have MAC clients using Windows 7 with Parallel software installed to run using IE browser without any issues.

But as far as I understand Windows 10 is not yet compatible with IE browser for MAC clients.

This MAC client is not having any success with Windows 10. Not sure if he has Parallel software installed.
We do not have any people to this point using Windows 10 but now with new PC's coming out Windows 10 is being installed.
Does anyone out there have MAC clients on Windows 10 successfully running OW ERP1 on a thin client.
If so would be happy to hear how you set it up.

Attached is our Procedure for MAC users.

We are on OW ERP 8.0 - really old version.

We told our MAC clients the following:

The FIS (FIS is our OW ERP1 system) is ONLY compatible with Internet Explorer. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari will not work with FIS. If you are an Apple user (MacBook, iMac, iPad), you must contact IT services to have the software Parallel installed. This will partition off a part of your hard drive allowing it run in a Windows based environment, and thus allow Internet Explorer to run.

9.2 Standalone on Win10 Enterprise Edition

Hi,

I am trying to install 9.2 standalone on Win10.

I am unable to install Oracle 12c database. I get an error "INS-30131 Initial setup required for the execution of installer validations failed".

I tried on both Win10 Home edition and Enterprise Edition. I get the same above error.

Creating a new JDE instance

Hello List,

Here is the requirement. I need to create a separate JDE instance of our current production setup.

Not a separate environment, but a separate instance all together, with same production data and objects.

Now, how I am planning to accomplice this is,

Basically install a new setup.

Install new SM, Dep Svr, plaformpack, workbench, new HTML server new fat client, apply the tools release

Then move the custom/modified object via boomerang

and do a data refresh, to get the business data into the new setup.

Does any one have any better or simpler idea on how to go about it? Or any tips/note for me to keep in mind will be much appreciated.

JDE Server Manager not showing users for one of our web servers

We are on JDE E1 9.0, tools 9.1.4.7.

Yesterday we noticed an issue when signed into the JDE server manager. We have two Web Servers, JDEWEB01 and JDEWEB02 running Oracle Weblogic. These are load balanced so users are split between these two servers. Typically we can log into the JDE Server Manager and view the users signed on to each of the two web server instances.

However yesterday afternoon we noticed that when viewing JDEWEB01 in server manager, there was no option for viewing Users.

Looking further we noticed that when viewing the JDEWEB01 instance, the Active JVM Count is zero and there is no option to view Runtime Metrics. On JDEWEB02, the Active JVM count is 1 and you can view User Sessions and other Runtime Metrics. See the attached word document to see what we see in JDE Server Manager for these two servers.

On thing to note that is that JDEWEB01 appears to be functioning normally. All the services are up and in fact users are being directed to JDEWEB01 by the load balancer correctly. I can tell in submitted jobs that at least 6 or 7 users are logged into JDEWEB01 and no issues have been reported.

The only issue is that we cannot see the Runtime Metrics. This evening we will reboot JDEWEB01 and perhaps a restart will address this maybe not, but we can't do it in the middle of the day.

Any thoughts on where to begin looking would be appreciated.

Unable to add Interactive Application version to End-User Tasks/Menus

JDE OneWorld XE; Version: B7333

I'm unable to add an Interactive Application Version to the 'End-User Tasks/Menus'. I keep receiving the error message 'Unable to prompt for values or version because no template is associated with P550963'. I have no idea why that error is occurring since there is a template associated to the version. The CNC person with whom I work wasn't able to figure out why the error is occurring either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to remove grid sequence

We run JDE E910 in iseries, I've created a view in the iseries (CREATE VIEW create a logical file on the iseries), this view has a very complex SQL (Joining 6 tables), then I've created a table in JDE with the name of the logical file and a business view associated with this file... I have a find/browse form using view (Logical file), as all business view must have a sequence, when jde creates SQL sentences adds an "order by" clause, how can I remove this "order by" clause?

Thin client login bounces client back to log in screen

Client cannot login into thin client/web client from his laptop but can login into thin client/web client on other PC's.

Internet explorer settings are defined properly on client laptop.

It just keeps on bringing client back to login screen even after login.

Has anyone out there experienced this issue and if so what did you do to fix it?

Workflow: Editing Not Possible As Status States BEING EDITED

Hi All

Hoping some can help me out with this.

I am in application P98800, Process Master., and from here I have selected a Version to work with.
This takes mew to form P9860D. On the Design tools tab, it shows that the version is in "Workflow Status is BEING EDITED".

Now I know its not being edited. How / where does one reset this?

OneWorld XE fat client Timeout

I've been knocking this one around with Oracle support and not having any luck. They tell me that there is no JD Edwards setting to implement a session timeout on a Windows fat client.

We are running a coexistent environment. World A7.3 Cume 13 and OneWorld XE SP24 fat clients running on windows. OneWorld services run on our Power 7 running I for Business. Fat clients connect via iAccess ODBC connections to the DB2 database on the iSeries.

I have reviewed both the iSeries JDE.INI, or the INI file with member JDE in library B7333SYS and the jde.ini file on the fat client. Neither one of them show a timeout parameter in the JDENET section where you find it in the jas.ini that the knowledge garden documents talk about.

I'm posting this question here hoping that someone else didn't let this rest with Oracle and found a way to disconnect/timeout their fat client sessions without hoping that the inactivity setting on the iSeries timed them out instead (i don't believe this to work as i can go in to my already opened OneWorld tat client session at any time and open a menu option and it opens every time as long as the services are up and running on the iSeries (JDENET, SENTINEL and NETWORK in the 7333 subsystem). Even if services have stopped and restarted, no need to close my fat client session and reconnect. Just open a menu and it works. My guess is that this has to do with the ODBC connections and as long as the iSeries is up and running and services are running, the connection can be made.

Thank you for any information you can pass along. It's possible i may be stuck with having no timeout, but i wanted to exhaust all avenues first.
