JDE License Audit

Hi all,
In the next future Oracle is going to come on site to perform a software license audit.
I've read a couple of posts and at the end I understood that Oracle perform queries around user and transaction tables.
Does anyone know which tables are involved or can share with me a sample query to be sure everything is Ok?

Package Deployment Error - Failed to Lock/Unlock Server

Hi everyone.

Recently I got this troublesome error when I try to deploy a package : "Error Code : 34, Failed to lock/unlock server".
The package contain only 1 Business Function. This Business Function works fine at my FAT Client, and the package is built successfully.

After that, I've tried to deploy several time with different package and different object, and found that this error only occurred when I try to deploy a package that contain Business Function or Data Structure (or Processing Options).
All Package that only contain UBE and/or application deployed successfully.

Before I deploy, I make sure that the web login is disabled, no user is logged in, no UBE is processing, and no zombie process.
I've tried to search similar case on the web, but still no luck.
If we can, we try not to restart the server. But if restarting the server is the only way to solve this error, we can schedule a server restart at the weekend, hopefully this weekend.

I attached the log files and package deployment report.

Creating your own ASU

Hi folks,

We've recently installed some 140+ ESUs for Polish Localisation into DV. The ones needed plus their dependencies etc.

I seem to remember a CNC contractor on my travels before making his own ASU out of E1 objects of his own choice.

I plan to ask my CNC team to try and create an ASU from all the objects affected in the ESUs and install that into PY UT PD etc rather than the painstaking 140+ ESU approach they underwent in DV.

Is this possible?

get Total number of pages in Create!form designer

can i count the pages based on any variable in designer.

CC cash receipt posting issue - missing bank account GL line

Hello

I have a credit card batch that was created through auto receipts. For some reason, this particular batch is showing out of balance. In the out of balance report, I have the AE entry to accounts receivable; however, I am missing the bank account debit side of the entry. I checked the F0911 and there is no unposted record in the bank account GL, and I have also gone into the receipt batch and confirmed that the batch header for the receipt does in fact show the bank account.

I have no idea how to fix this or add the missing transaction. I know I can post this OOB and then do a supplemental JE, but I'd much rather keep everything in the same batch if at all possible.

Any ideas?

Hi Friends,

Debug log creating for UBEs in printqueue ( not enabled debug log in jde.ini)

Large Debug log creating in PrintQueue folder (Jdedwards/e920/PrintQueue). Security in place users not allowed to run ube with jdedebug log enabled.

Enterprise server platform Linux.

Media Objects Setup...

JDE OneWorld XE, Release: B7333

I’m still fairly new to JDE. This is the first time I’m working with Media Objects, specifically for the “P0911 – Journal Entries” screen - adding JEs to the Batch.

Question 1: Is there a way to prevent a user from modifying or deleting an attachment once it’s been attached, but still have read access? Unfortunately, this is a showstopper for the project I’m currently developing.

Question 2: There is a Row Exit called “Attachments” for attaching a Media Object. Why don’t I see it in the “Menus/Toolbar exits…” for the form?

Question 3: Are there bugs when attaching an OLE? One of the users attached an OLE to a new JE (first), saved the JE, then accessed the JE, but the attachment wasn’t there. When the user entered a new JE (second) and then tried to attach an OLE, the attachment from the first JE appeared. There is a new form that calls the P0911 where the OLEs are attached, and neither of the attachments is available for viewing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Parameterized URL does not trigger Post Commit

  1. I load a Headerless Detail form "Ship Confirm" for a railcar inspected and loaded in SharePoint, based on a parameterized URL.
  2. The form populates the parameters into the grid columns correctly.
  3. I press a button that initiates the transaction correctly.
  4. A second (quantity shipped validation) form "Post Confirm" opens correctly.
  5. I fill in the quantity column, ensuring the same value is entered twice.
  6. I press a button that closes the second form, returning to the original form, and that should complete the transaction.
  7. However, the main form 'Post Commit' event does not get triggered; in consequence the transaction fails.

The problem is the business functions B4101810 ProcessF41021WFRecords & B4200793 ConfirmedShipmentsCacheTerminate
should execute only in Post Commit, when SV TP Commit Status = CO TP_COMMIT_FAIL


Anybody can help?

is there a way to configurate, deactivate or remove the [SIGNON] tab that appears in JDE.ini (7334)?

since it stores the LASTUSER, I've been having issues with disabled accounts.

Auto-Commit Connection in BSSV

Hello All,

I created a business service from where it will call a BSFN.

BSFN internally calls few other BSFN's (which creates the order in F4211) and UBE's (Changes status of the order).

Inside the UBE it will change the status of the order and it will further process.

From BSSV point of view, it is following the transaction processing and the order in the JDE is committing to the database only after the web service is getting completed.

But the problem is whenever the UBE is getting called, it is not getting processed because of the order not available / not committed in the database.

After reading few docs, i came to know that this can be accomplished only through "Auto commit Connection" process.

How to implement "Auto commit connection" in BSSV or is there any other process to resolve this issue ?

Very Unusual Security Issues

We have an unusual problem. The security kernels stop writing to the logs on our enterprise server. Additionally the P98OWSEC doesn’t seem to work properly. We have LDAP enabled, so form W98OWSECI (security detail revisions) requires you to tick a box to allow change changes to a specific detail. However, when attempting to re-enable a user id I found that the tick boxes were disabled, but the detail entry fields were editable – just like it is without LDAP enabled. I changed the status from ‘02’ to ‘01’ and click OK, but the user detail was not updated. I did the same thing on both the web client and the fat admin/dev client, with the same results. I had the debug log on the fat client and it showed that the LDAP_isLDAPAuthenticationEnabled business function returned a ‘0’ instead of a ‘1’ – meaning that LDAP wasn’t enabled, but it is enabled!

This is a recent behaviour going back about 6 weeks or so to mid-February 2017. About this time we had a firewall upgrade. I don’t know how a firewall upgrade would stop the security kernels from writing to the logs.

We have two installations that are completely separate. One for production and the other for testing and development. The problems are occurring in both environment.

Our installation configuration is: E9.1 TR9.1.2.1, Enterprise Server: Sun; Database Server: Sun; Oracle DB: 11g, Weblogic; Create!form 7

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Getting PDF with metadata from JDE to Transform Designer to test modifications

I had opened a ticket with BT a while back and did not get any helpful solution except to review the online help. Did not find anything there! If someone could describe the process of getting a JDE PDF into the Data Samples folder with the metadata, I would be forever in your debt! I have tried running R42565 version from fat client, copying pdf output into the Data Samples folder, but when I try to bring it into my template I get an error "Data is an Enterpriseone PDF, but it contains no metadata."

We have Full client Licensing issue - need to correct

We have 44 clients currently using ERP Enterprise One on Full Client.

Problem is when a person gets a new PC our Onsite team that sets up the new PC is supposed to remove the Full client from the old machine then readd Full Client for ERP Enterprise One to the new PC.

Secondly, for some PC's our Onsite team renamed some of the PC's so now we have a PC with two Licenses for OneWorld ERP Emterprise One on same PC.

So how do we fix this mess.

We are trying to add 14 brand new PC's to our full client license pool. We actually need to replace the old PC's with the new ones.

Any help anyone can provide us would be very much appreciated.
