Need to setup a default qty for M Line type item

Hi,
User wants me to setup default qty as 1 when entering orders to a special Item.
It's just for 1 item for all customers. Any thought will be appreciated.

How to determine who made changes?

I add/update the Address Book/phones/email/who's who tables using 2 ways, they are web services and the JDE application. In their table triggers, I only want to execute a business function if these changes are done in the JDE application.

If the changes are done using web services then I DON'T want to execute the business function in these table triggers. Is there an elegant way to do this?

Work Order Commitments - R17714

We are some problems with service order commitments on our parts list. The problem is that sometimes (unable to pinpoint exact cases!) when we run R17714 the part lines are not being committed to lots even though there is inventory available to 'fill' the quantity on the parts list. This seems to happen "sometimes", meaning that we usually get a listing of several parts that did not commit to a lot and must then be manually committed to the lot that has the quantity available.

I was just wondering if anybody else out there has experienced something similar?

I have already raised a ticket with Oracle support but do not seem to making progress. If anybody wants to see information such as logs, etc I will be glad to forward to you :)
Mostly I am just throwing something out there in case anybody has some suggestions - setup, processes, ESU, etc that they might suggest.

This should be simple, but I can't find any documentation about it at all. Has anyone used Oracle SQL Developer to upload rows from a JDE table export (CSV file) into an existing JDE table? How is it accomplished?

CafeOne USPS zip code lookup stopped working

Has anyone else encountered problems calling the USPS Zip Code Lookup using CafeOne?
Last week we started getting the error message “ This content cannot be displayed in a frame”.
This has been working perfectly for over 9 months.

Please assist would like to input the attached spreadsheet by employee Business unit and badge number on the items issued to employees, this option will be utilized by Compliance and Safety Division. Browsed thru Human resources, Safety & Health Admin, no option to input data for equipment issued to employees. Please advise on where I can populate the information. Thank you.

Question about accessing SQL Server db using jdbc

We have a SQL Server database that we would like to access from JDE E1. I've created a system DSN to point to the database, created a system user for myself and set up OCM mappings, and can access a table in this database from UTB. If I try to access this same table from DATABROWSER on my local web dev client, however, it fails. If I try to run a simple application to access this same table from our WLS Dev server, it also fails. I have an open SR with MOS, but am not having much luck, so I thought I'd throw this out to the JDEList community to see if you have any ideas. Thanks for any suggestions!

Sales Order Line not Accepting Unit Cost Override but will Extended Cost

In our UAT of 9.2 our End User reported an issue with a custom Item Line Type (N1) that will not accept an override of the Unit Cost. I tested in both 9.0 and 9.2 and the the line on the Sales Order (Custom Line Type S2) is working the same. However, I can override the Extended Cost and it will calculate the Unit Cost.

On the same order, I can enter an item with a Item Line Type of S and can override the Unit Cost for the S2 Sales Order Line.

What am I missing?

FDA Text Block Control working abnormally

Hi everybody,

I'm working with TextBlock Control in a custom application. I'm doing it in my E810 Demo. Sometimes, the text in the TextBlock disappear and just a blank square is shown. Happened in E810 and E920 Demo as well. I'm not sure if this just a Demo Bug or it happen on Fat Client also. So, I just want to know if someone have ever seen this before on some installation (not demo version), and if it can be replicated or solved. Attached is a sample how it looks the Text Block.

Securing out default branch

We have setup our users with default branch/plants. Is there a way to prevent them from changing it for example in P4312 (PO receipt)? If so is it a configuration that can be changed or does it need MCU security setup?

Zen Load Balancer

I am looking for more detail on setting up a zen load balancer for handling the HTML client traffic. If anyone has a nice write-up on the steps to do this, I would appreciate it.

I have seen some general information, but nothing detailed enough to get my head around. Things like removing the /jde/owhtml/ and the redirects are causing some headaches.

TCE009090 Error in TC loading csv file to E1 table

We are loading a csv file from a network file server to E1 table F01151 using a TC UBE. This UBE has been running successfully for a long while. Recently the csv file was relocated to a new file server, and I had to re-define the TC to reference the new server in Select Input.

Since then, the UBE would run in error... (TCE009090 - fixed width column formats must be defined over a character type column, not over a column with EVDT type 9). The input file is a csv file, so I don't see why the error suggests that it is in "fixed width column formats".

I tried to re-define the TC to step through all the conversion screens after specifying the Select Input.

I see other postings for similar issues, but couldn't see the solutions. Help!

Parameterized URL is not loading form/grid data P43025

I have created multiple Parameterized URL's in the past, all associated to the P42101, and the form/grid data is always displayed when the URL is invoked.

I am adding a Parameterized URL to assist users with PO status update for acknowledgements, P43205, I have the PO number populating correctly but for the form/grid data to be displayed I need to manually hit the "Find" button.

I am not understanding why the difference between the P42101 and P43025

here is sample of URL that is displaying the PO number but NOT the form/grid data
Http: //OURWEBSERVER/jde/ShortcutLauncher?OID=P43025_W43025A_ZJDEB0004&Form DSTmpl=|1|2|3|4|5|&FormDSData=|123732|||||

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Need DD for storing IP Address

I have a requirement to store IP addresses in a JDE table. I am having trouble defining the data element to do so. I am sure that this is an easy question, but can anyone share a DD item that can store the IP address (of the form 10.1.1.1)?

I should be able to use a text field, but when I enter the data into a JDE field, it balks after entering in 10.1. JDE states that the value entered in not a valid number.

Data Dictionary values set as follows (image attached):
Data Type = 2 (String)
Size=11
Control Type=4
No Default value, Visual Assist, Edit Rule , or Next Numbering (all off)

Again, I am not sure what i am doing wrong or misunderstanding, but I do need to find a way to store/mnage these IP addresses
