How do I block access to security for all users?

I am a new JDE user and am struggling to learn the concepts of security. My company has recently discovered that if users know the Fastpath codes for P98owsec and P95921, they can change their passwords and roles themselves without an administrator!!! This is a clearly huge security hole that I have been tasked to resolve.

So far my best guess from research would be to lock down both of these programs in Security Workbench for *PUBLIC. But...do I do this using Action Security? Application...

We are in need of SOX audit reporting on JD Edwards 7.3. We have turned on logging on the iSeries and we are capturing data. The problem is it is too cryptic for a SOX auditor to make sense of what we are capturing. In short, what we need is a verbose reporting system that can detail out the information in layman's terms. Such that an auditor can determine if SOD violations are occurring etc.

DSI dcLink publishing error

We are using an old version of DSI TranCollector (4.2.5). We rarely make modifications, but I had to do one recently. I'm unable to publish the script. I get an error that reads "Script <Z4> is currently being published by another user. Please try again later."
No one else is publishing. My hunch is that a table needs to be cleared, but I haven't found a likely culprit. I'm not sure if it would be on the database side, or server side.
I'd be grateful for any direction anyone can...

F4211 to F0911 (or reverse)

JDE knows how to map each order row to the correct G/L account so that revenues are properly classified, this is what I'm trying to figure out.

I can't figure out the schema mapping between F4211 and F0911 (Schema 920). What I'm trying to do is determine which Revenue G/L account each order row will ultimately hit when the order is transacted. The reason I need to do this is because the chart of accounts holds the requisite splits for Channel and Revenue Stream (eg E-Commerce = Channel...

Servers Name Change

Hey List,
I have a client that went thru an upgrade to 9.1 new servers were used Deployment,Enterprise and HTML. They want the new servers changed back to the old servers names. They are running OEE for local DB and Oracle for System DB. The HTML servers are using WebLogic. I was looking for a listing of the tables that hold the servers names. Anyone ever done this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any scripts you have to accomplish this would also be good.

User Gets a blank screen after logging into JDE E920.

JDE E920

As soon as the user enters the user and password and logs in, he/she gets a blank screen.
Only 2 users have this issue. It works fine for everyone else. These users only have this issue logging into DV, PY works fine.
They tried using a different browser, cleared cache, but the problem persists. Was wondering if anyone on here has any ideas of why this is happening?

Data Selection List of Values

Hello Everyone,
Is it just me having this issue? We have been on OneWorld Xe for several years now. I find it hard to believe that our users, when entering Literal Data Selection, still have to enter a list of values one value at a time and then click the "Add" button. Isn't there a way to copy and paste a list of values from excel. We are having issues with costing and having to enter lists for simulation, freezing, copying to branch plants, then simulating and freezing. That is...

Transform Question - How to only print totals on the last page of a PO.

Our school has purchased Transform and I received training but we used all of training hours before completing the documents we were creating. Unfortunately our PO is 95% completed, and my boss' boss wants it in production yesterday, and they tell me we don't have funds to purchase any more training hours.

I have one issue - I'm currently printing the final dollar amount total on every page of the PO in the TOTAL box and Purchasing needs the final total only to appear on the very last page...

Import from Excel

Having an issue with our custom Price Import Application. We run this application by importing a spreadsheet from Excel and them updating the tables. The import assistant seems to be working properly, we can import the columns from the spreadsheet into that grid; but when we click Continue to bring the data back to the actual application it does not carry over. Interestingly, the data will carry over if it is 100 rows or less. Is there a setting somewhere that I can't seem to find?

Orchestrator as an HTTPS endpoint for file drop

We have a third-party platform that we need to integrate into JDE. Their only integration option is for us to provide an https endpoint for them to place a csv file into for consumption into JDE.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to accomplish this with orchestrator. I am under the impression that orchestrator requires a restful transmission and would not be suitable for this task, but I am hopeful there is a way.

The following is using the web client.

I'm writing an application that lets users create a sort of 'menu' system. So, since its dynamic I won't know which apps will be invoked from the grid.

This seems like the perfect place to use the StartFormDynamicVersion API in a custom C program. The user picks a grid row with the app, and version and hits the 'go' button. Seems easy enough.

Dear JDE Gurus,
We have a Find Browse form application which pulls all the Sales Order Lines in the grid for an order enter on the header. We have placed the following code to loop through the selected lines to Cancel all the selected lines on the sales order on the Row Exit->Cancel Order Lines HC. It works sometimes and cancels selected multiple lines but not all. Lets say if for 1 sales order there are 25 lines ands if I select all the 25 line and click Cancel, 15 lines may get cancelled...

how to know if one of the record insertions failed in an iterative database connectors?

Hi,
I am using database connector to insert number of records in a working file. Is there a way to know if one of the record insertion fails? The reason why I want to know if any of the record insertion fails is because if one of the record fails, I want to delete the whole batch of records inserted.

Accessing non JDE tables from E1

Hi List,

Is there any way in E1 that I can access read/update non E1 tables?

Sadly, these tables and columns don't have names like F4211 and DOCO, more like they are named table B2BHEADEROB and column EDIDOCNO_EDOC

In the past I have used a DROPPED table and created a view to the new actual table and E1 can talk to external tables. Table name and columns would be the same
But these table names are different and not standard E1 format.

So any idea?

For one of our client We have 2 major applications (JDE and Autorelease) and both resides in Iseries currently hence they are able to.interact easily being both in iseries , but as part of the new project we are moving JDE into OCI and Autorelease remains in Iseries.
So looking for your valuable suggestions to continue working of the existing integrations between JDE and Autorelease in new architecture.
