Looking into using Citrix Netscalers

Hi all

We are looking at using our existing Citrix Netscalers to load balance our Web (JAS) Servers for JDE. We currently use a powershell script which randomises connections but thats about all it does. I'm interested to see what experiences others have had using Netscalers for JDE? I was curious about the load on the Netscalers and any performance improvements for the users? And any tips and/or gotchas? We are on 9.0, Tools 9.1.3.3 and Websphere 8.5 but we may move soon to Weblogic 11g.

From what I have read, it is worthwhile offloading SSL to the Netscalers.

How to declare variables and structures in C Business Function.

Hi,
I want to develop a C BSFN which is used to insert records into a specific table F55xxxxxx. I am confused in declaring variable and structures. I observed a couple of standard C Business Functions which used to insert the records into Fxxxxx. But in all those C Business Functions, variable declaration and structures are different from each other, even they are doing same job( inserting records into its associated tables). Can anyone explain in brief how to declare variables and structures. And why variable and structure declaration are different from each other.

Kindly help me out.

AP Checks Consuming Payment Number for Overflow Stub

When printing AP checks, if there are more detail lines than allowed on a stub, multiple pages will print with the live check being on the last page and void checks on the previous pages. Each page consumes a payment number. This leaves payment number gaps in the Supplier Payment Ledger. I believe it was designed this way to accommodate for check stock where the check numbers are preprinted. However, we do not use that type of check stock. We print the check number that is assigned. Is there a setup option that would print the same check number on all pages related to the same payment and eliminate the gaps? Or has anyone made a customization for this?

How to send PDFs?

Once a RD job is finished and the BI publishing process is done. We want to send the resulting PDF to a 3rd party system. Do you know how to do that? We want to automate the process in JDE as much as possible.

If you have other simple approaches, can you let me know please?

Processing Option Visual Assist for UDC return DL01

I tried to copy P0005S to a custom app to get it to return DL01 for a processing option but I was not able to do so successfully.

Is there another way to return DL01 of a UDC in a PO visual assist?

Minimum Order Value - Bill-To vs Ship-To

We have a Distribution Center that want to use Minimum Order Value. We know where to set it up and what happens when an order does not meet the Minimum Order Value.

However, the end-user want to know it the Minimum Order Value is set at the Bill-To, Ship-To or both and which takes precedence if both. Example

Bill-To: $1000
Ship-To #1: $500
Ship-To #2: $750

If a custom orders $700 to Ship-To #1. Would it be below Minimum Order Value?

I am thinking Minimum Order ValueV is based on Bill-To but I am not 100% sure

R31422 Leaving F31122 records with Process Status = I

Hi,

R31422 is running and leaving some records with a "processed status" of I...i cannot find any documentation as to why this status would be set.

The IH transactions for work orders left at this status are not making it to the GL.

Would anyone know why? There is no .pdf report on the R31422 so it's a bit black box.

Tool Tip on E1 Pages Tab

Dear all,
when we bring the cursor on E1 Page Tab, so it show us the Following detail:
Rep: R42019 , Ver: ADM011

like if E1 Page Tab is for SALES ANALYSIS REPORT then "REPORT Name" and "Version" should prompt when mouse cursor move over the SALES ANALYSIS REPORT Tab.

Can any one help me please!

R3482 MRP is slow sporadically

Nothing in the data/version has changed. Doesn't matter if it's Gross Regen or Net Change. For example this week Net Change ran on Tuesday and took 5.5 hours, then ran on Wednesday and took 2.25 hours (which is normal). We see this a couple of times a week. Went through the MRP Performance Checklist. Hardware has been checked. Any suggestions?

How can I use the Table Input/Output Like command?

Hi Gurus,

I know I've done this before (maybe 7.x) but can't seem to figure it out again. I have a field where I want to search a table (via Table I/O) for "IL-K*" where the asterisk is any of several characters. I know that in the Select I can set the compare to a "Like" (the cross between and equals and a simile) but can't seem to find the code that fetches any records.

I can see matching records in UTB, and can see in debug that the Select function has "is Like" between the left and right operands but always get SV File_IO_Status = ERROR on the Fetch.Next command.

***Note to web master **** I also tried searching for "Like" but you consider it too common of a word to search on.

Can anyone help?

Tools Upgrade 9.2.0.3 - Apps 9.1 - ASI Install

Hi,

We've recently upgraded from 9.1.5.5 to 9.2.0.3 TR on our Development E1 install - Apps level is 9.1.

We've completed several Tools Upgrades in the past without issue but this one hasn't been a straightforward upgrade - in particular when applying the related ASI 92000103TL. The pre-req ESUs (including baseline) were applied ok but we've had real trouble getting the ASI installed via Change Assistant. Must admit haven't used Change Assistant much in the past but it just seems to be so temperamental. Lots of errors at different stages. By hook or crook, we've managed to finish the install and get the table conversions to run (with the exception of 2 that were specific to Watchlists which we are ignoring for now).

The main issue we have now is that our grid formats that were present (pre-tools upgrade) are not visible in any of the applications now? We can create new grids successfully. The related table conversions have run for the grids.

We have an ongoing call open with Oracle just wondering if anyone else has been down this road and experienced similar issues?

I'm looking for a JDE development environment to rent. Does anyone know if it exists and where to find it?

I couldn't find it at Oracle.com.

I need access to a virtual machine (or something like that) that contains a recent JDE EnterpriseOne (9.2) installed and have access to OMW environment to development training purposes.

Dear All,

I am trying to add the FDA Portlets to E1 Pages and I am using one of the HTML example file for my deployment. But I wanted to check out with someone in community if there is an canned robust HTML zip file I can use for this. Basically something which a little more attractive and flashy which can be used for FDA Portlets. Something already provided by Oracle. Currently I am using one of the basic one provided by Oracle which is as below...

Any help or direction would be very appreciated.

JDE Table Export 2 XML

We've just released a new free tool, which as the name suggests, allows you to export whole JDE tables into XML.

It uses JDE functionality, so the resulting files are compatible with and importable with R98403XA.

1) The export process is remarkably fast, so this process can be used for DB migrations across databases or systems;
2) Of course the XML files can be filtered manually after they are created, so they may only contain a subset of the rows in the end - this way bits and pieces of your data can be shipped off for installation elsewhere;
3) As you know, R98403XA has a number of options that control how the data is to be imported, so that part is reasonably flexible. In fact, this is how ESU's normally deliver any additional configuration data.

You can download it directly from our website, just go to http://www.everestsoftint.com/download.php and fill in the request form. (double-check your e-mail address before submitting the form and if you still do not receive an automated response, check with your mail admins, or try using another email address)

Processing 2 tables via C++ BSFN

Hello All,

I have created a C BSFN to loop through the F4211 for a given order, while I'm looping through the F4211 i will need to read a home grown table (F59). For access to the (F59) table, where would i execute the OpenTable and Fetch? and could i then Close Tables all at once at function clean up?

If more info is needed please let me know.....and thanks for any information on this topic.
