We are looking to purchase some hardware using RFGEN and JDE. Does anyone know if JDE will work on a Kindle Fire? For anyone that's used a Kindle/is using a Kindle, are there any tips and tricks for implementation - version, size, etc.? Would you make the same decision again?

Using FTP on the 400
I have a requirement to use FTP to GET from a windows folder.
I have, manually, been able to run the FTP steps, and the desired file ends up in the desired library.
PROGRAMATICALLY, I won't know the name of the file to GET, so I'm trying to do a "DIR disk" or a "LS disk".
I get message 200 "Port command successful", followed by 550 "The system cannot find the file specified".
Per the documentation, the "disk" sub-command should cause FTP to create ftp.diroutput in my current library.
I'm not seeing that happen.
SO, as I wander off to google for answers, I'm asking my JDEList-friends to think about what I'm doing wrong.
(I'm having other issues when doing the MANUAL ftp, but I'm limiting myself to one hurdle at a time).

SOD report
All,
We use a tool/Application(ALLOUT) to get a report on SOD conflicts based on the security roles. We certainly have few roles where there are SOD violation, and we have some mitigation controls ( where manual or system ). Is there a way to see if any of those SOD violation actually happen within the system to ensure the mitigation controls were effective.

Forecast Consumption in R3482 only plans the first consumption period and not others
I am running R3482 in Xe with Forecast Consumption turned on. FCPeriods are set, inclusion rules are set and UDC 40/Iu and 40/CF are set. P3413 (Time series) is set to use FC. FC logic can be seen in the first consumption period in the time series but all future periods do not show FC working.
We ran successfully in a PY environment, promoted to an SA environment, double checked all entries and FC process mentioned above and we don't get FC logic working in future periods in the SA environment. Checked all the shop floor calendars and we are good. Item Branch has planning fence rule set to H and planning fence days are 999.
What am I doing wrong in SA?

APRE with multiple app servers
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone is using the APRE (Advanced Pricing Resolution Engine) with multiple app servers in an environment. I assume the cache gets loaded where the subsystem job (R45390) runs, and I'm wondering how to accomodate running it on all servers, or if that's even possible? Do I just map a different user to each app server and run load cache?

BI Pub PDF output shows "?" instead of diamond-shaped checkbox
We are upgrading to apps 9.2 with tools 9.2.2.4. In our testing, we have run a standard JDE Health & Safety UBE to generate the OSHA 300 report. It runs fine on our 9.1 production system, but in our 9.2 system, the diamond-shaped checkboxes are showing as a large question mark "?". The real interesting thing is that if I generate the PDF output from my BIP Desktop, the diamond-shaped checkboxes appear as they should -- so the problem is only on server-processed jobs.
Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you.

21 CFR 11 Auditing
We recently enabled auditing on many tables, including the F0011. We are using an application called Robot Scheduler instead of the JDE scheduler. After turning on auditing the scheduled R09801 is now changing all Batch Statuses from 'Approved' to 'In Use.' This doesn't happen if we submit the job manually. Has anyone ever seen anything like this happen before when turning auditing on? This is E1 9.1, by the way.

Working with Tasks
Hello members,
I am facing a weird issue which could be very trivial but I need help to identify whats causing it.
I have created a task which points to a batch application in JDE - JDE033962.

When I point that same task to a button, see screenshots below, JDE does not seem to be able to find it! It opens up a window indicating it tried to find that task but for some reason it does not exist.

Carrier from SO to PO - E1 9.1
Hi all,
First of all English is not my native language so, please excuse typing errors.
In the automatic process of creating a purchase order when the sales order is created, Is there a way to avoid the population of the carrier number (ANCR) using processing options or configuration? Now when the purchase order is created from the sales order, the carrier is the same than the sales order (the one that is associated to the sold to number), and my customer wants in the purchase order the carrier associated to the supplier.
I do not know the way and I would like to avoid modify the code of the application.
We are using E1 9.1 version.
I am not very experiencied in JD Edwards so, please forgive me if is an obvious question.

Tool/Program/Custom UBE for Mass closure of old Purchase Order lines
Does anyone know of a standard or custom tool for closing old Purchase Order lines.
We tried using the status update program but that will not close lines.
We know the normal way but there are thousands of lines so looking for a quick way (not SQL) to close PO lines en masse.
Any help/advice/comments/suggestions welcome

Best practices/tools/technologies to expose AIS server from outside the network ?

Best practices/tools/technologies to expose AIS server from outside the network for 3rd party integration. Esp when JDE is on OMCS/OCI ?
JDE AIS Servers on OCI/OMCS is not accessible outside Oracle/Company Network.
AIS - 'Application Integration Server' is used for integration via REST APIs to JD Edwards Enterprise One.
Integration is to be done with third parties sitting outside the Oracle/Company Network.
We cannot let all our suppliers and customers to connect to our vpn
How can we use AIS for integration if it can never expose a provider API over the Internet and also consume a public services over in the Internet in an orchestration ?
Can we find out on how to expose AIS APIs over the internet ?

Batch in Use or Posting
Hello Everyone
We have customized Item Reclassification application (p4116) to cater some business recruitment. Development was successful and transaction also save without any errors. but when we open Transaction after saving we get an error and it says "batch is in use or posting". Batch status not goes to approve. But we try Standard application transaction save and batch status is approved. is there any method to avoid this and make the batch status directly as approved ?

Does anyone have knowledge of a product that will integrate JDE with FrontRange's GoldMine CRM product? Specifically, I am looking for a way to sync data between the 2 products.

I keep being asked to log in twice...
So not sure if this is strictly a CNC question or not. I (and several of my users--but not all of them) have to enter our JDE username and password twice almost every time we log into JDE. I have no idea what could be causing this--but its been happening since we went to JDE 9.2 last September. At first, I just assumed I was super bad at fat fingering my password... Any ideas?

Is there any monitoring solution people are using to monitor their JD Edwards environment. I have used bits and piece of Solarwind and MangeEngine, but those are infrastructure monitoring. We had developed bunch of scripts and manual script to monitor JD edwwards in my previous company. I wonder, if people are using or are aware of any application that would provide a comprehensive monitoring Solution.

Lose customizations when moving to Cloud?
Hi everyone,
Just curious, does anyone know what happens to customized objects when you migrate your JDE instance onto the cloud. Are customized objects retained? Do you have to retrofit them?
