What is current Oracle best practice, or just general consensus among the JDE community, on rebuilding the Cross Reference Facility (P980011) for existing environments? In the system I'm working on it is completely inaccurate. For example, if I go to Tables Used by an Interactive Application and put in a standard application such as P4021 it doesn't list a single table. I'm sure that can't be correct. In a previous installation I scheduled all environments to rebuild the tool once every 6 months, but the current CNC team I'm working with doesn't rebuild at all 'because it takes too long.' Opinions/thoughts?

I apologize for the stupid question but I'm a newbie to JDE and I've searched high and low but can't find an answer to this. We're currently on JD Edwards 9.0 and we're trying to implement a complex password policy. I can get to and change the settings on the global password policy screen (see attached) but no matter what I change it to, I cannot implement the changes. Can anybody help with this please. Problem With Fonts not Working in New Tools Release
We are doing some testing (hoping to go live shortly!) in Tools Release 9.2 for JDE.
I have some BI Publisher reports with bar coding fonts that are not working on my reports in TR9.2. We have installed the fonts on the new server and it seems to work for JDE batch applications that have the fonts embedded in the UBE.
However, when I try to print the fonts via a BI Publisher template I am not getting the fonts as expected...it is coming out as 'regular text' and not in the font I am using in the template.
The font I am using is "Code39One" which is a bar code font we use for scanning things like work order number, badges, etc.
* We have also moved to a new virtual server (same name) and upgraded from Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2016.
* We have moved from TR 9.14.4.4 to TR 9.2.2.1
I can send the template if you interested to see what that looks like.

Validate inbound date format in EDI CSV to F47 table
Hi List,
I have a weird one I can't think how to solve.
A User drops a CSV file, EBI software picks this data up and maps the data into an F47 table. I've then written a UBE to read the inbound data and check various things before entry into E1.
One of the things I've been asked to check is the Effective Date (F41061.CBEFTJ) is in the correct format. YYYMMDD.
So how do I do that? As EBI will map a value into this into my F47 F41061 equivalent table and then my code will have to check it somehow..............but how????
How do you check date is 'valid' in E1?
Could I maybe split the parts out using B0000078 and then ask is the days between 1 - 31 and months 1 - 12? That's all I can think of.
Or...I was thinking of adding a new string column to my F47 table (it's F57 really) and then validate it from there. But what BSFN checks YYYYMMDD

Does JDE have any documentation that shows the links between AP tables? The reason I ask is that when our group is tasked to assist in troubleshooting issues (AP or AR) we are writing sql queries to parse data...I would like to write an application that would pull up the data for F0401, F0411, F0413 and so on.......almost like a one stop application that presents data in one place.....PowerForms....

Carousel Application name blank if changed in ER
Hi List,
I have a custom APPL and I have code in there to override and change the form name at run time. This works locally on the FAT but appears to be messed up on the server
The reason I rename the form is it can run in about 3 - 4 different modes. The users wanted to know what version they are in (as they are directed there rather than take a menu option) but I've noticed since coding the change in to override the form name, the name in the carousel has gone blank
Any ideas how to fix this?

Does Oracle provide system updates to the fixed asset system for tax law changes?
My client is calculating bonus depreciation using a 3rd party software. They want to use EnterpriseOne (9.2). They do not want to change/create the rules everytime the requirements change. Does Oracle provide software updates on regular basis for this?

Calling UBE from NER via BSSV -SOAPUI
Good day everyone,
I have a requirement where i need to call a UBE from BSSV. I have created a sample NER and called UBE inside the NER, and created a BSSV as well to test it.
When i test from a test class the NER calling the UBE successfully on the DV server.
After Deployment when i try to call the same from Soapui ,it is not calling UBE.
Other information:
-There are no mandatory parameters passed to UBE from NER/BSSV.
-Local integrated weblogic is n't getting created due to below error.
wlst > Could not reserve enough space for object heap.
Any ideas or workarounds/suggestions would be helpful.

Hierarchy Layout for Lot Items - BIP RTF Design
Hi All,
Help needed to produce the output in Hierarchy structure for Lot Items with RTF template design.
Attached the picture "lg.jpg" with data and layout. On the left side xml data is present and right side how the out put should be produced is given.
For every parent Item(PITEMNUM) example:1000030 there are child Items(CITEMNUM-1000004,27,28,26)
again Child Item(1000026) becomes parent and for this child items are (1000031,32,33,34,35)
this repeats if child item becomes parent.
I am attaching the XM file also. Please download and remove ".txt" extension. Site is not allowing to upload XML file.
Let me know if any more details needed.

Values rounded on server as400 but not local
Hello,
We are using the tax calculator B4001090 in a custom UBE.
When running local, everything works well.
However, when running on the server (AS 400), the taxe amounts are rounded.
Ex: with the job local, we got 123.09, but with the job on the server, we got 123.00.
We are using this BSFN in other jobs on the server without issues.
The debug log that we got didn't help.
I know that it is not a lot of information but if someone already had the same kind of issue of values rounded on server but not local and could point in a direction to orientate my investigations (I am new to OW)

Java Script AJAX call to JDE AIS Server.
Hi ,
We are making a REST call to JDE AIS Server(Port:7050) from Chrome(Via Java Script Code-AJAX call).
REST calls are hitting the JDE AIS Server successfully but response is not coming back to chrome .getting the exceptions as share in the attachment.
Also capture the JAS log from AIS , Found Broken Pipe Exception for the REST calls sent by Chrome. Not getting the Root cause for this issue Please share your inputs.

Add Segment
Hi I'm using "Add segment" system function to add some variable text in a Group box inside a power form. The challenge I'm having is, there are multiple Add segments used by me and every segment just continues one after the other, but I want these segments in next new line and also I'm not sure how many segments might be required as I'm using Add segment inside a while loop. Is there a way to solve this or is there a workaround, I mean instead of using Add Segment.

Picking apart XML with tinyXML - value at the end of an Attribute?

I am developing some C++ code to interpret or modify XML documents that are being passed to or replied back from xmlCallObject... I'm using the tinyXML library for this just because... it's the first one I looked at and seems useful enough.
What I have noticed is that the BSFN parameters have a name-value pair, then the actual parameter value after that. For example:

When I work my way through this document with tinyXML I can grab an TiXmlElement for the <params> element, and within that iterate through the Attributes (TiXmlAttribute) for each Attribute. For each Attribute I can access the Name() which returns "name" and the Value() which returns "mnAddressNumber" or "szNameAlpha"... but I am interested in the bit after that - in the case if the mnAddressNumber, I want to set the 0 that is there to an address number for the request and in the case of szNameAlpha I want to grab the string there in the response... But I can't work out how that can be done... What is the term for that thing that comes after the attribute Value?
I think I'm missing something obvious here!

We are experiencing a lot of locking on our 9.2 system. In looking for answers, I found a post on the List discussing locking. One reply referenced time out settings. It isn't clear if they are referring to the settings on the HTML server or the enterprise server.
I don't seem to be able to find Oracle documentation on the JDE.INI settings for the database section like there is for kernels or BI Publisher. Server Manager refers to it as the Bootstrap Datasource section. There are two timeout settings:
SQL Server Query Timeout - 1
SQL Server Query Timeout Retries - 17
Do I change these settings? Currently, on the HTML servers, we have it set for queries to timeout after 30 seconds and retry 3 times. What would be your recommendation for these settings to work well together?
