We need to block some one who already knows the password of the user 'JDE'.

What happens if we disable the user account or change the password? This will affect anything ?

A customer I am working with has discovered that the JDE Macros (written in VBA) do not work on their Windows 10 client. They are using IBM's i Access Series client to use JDE, and supposedly IBM are transitioning over to their "Host On-Demand Macro Programming Language" and dropping support for VBA Macros.

Does anyone have any knowledge of any method to get these VBA scripts to work through this client?

I am new to VBA, so apologies if this is not enough detail. Happy to provide any further info as long as I am told where to find it!

We are on E1 9.0, tools 9.1.4.7.

We have been asked to look at setting up an approval process so that when a user makes a change to a vendor, an approval is required before the change takes place. Is there anything out of the box in JDE that would provided that functionality? I believe there is a function changes could be logged, but nothing where an approval process could be turned on for vendor changes.

Any thoughts on what the options might be or what you may have done in a similar scenario would be appreciated.

We are on E1 9.0, tools 9.1.4.7.

We have one developer, me, with a E1 fat client on my laptop. We have two JDE BAs that would also like fat client access also. They however have PeopleTools installed on their laptop so we are running into some issues installing both. So we would like to install a fat client on a virtual machine so they could have access to review file specs, code logic, etc.

My question may be very basic, but I've never done an install on a VM machine and was wondering how that would work if we have two people trying to access this fat client at the same time. Do we need to set up one VM machine for each of our two BAs, or if we set up just one, would that mean only one of them could log in that machine and fat client at the same time. May sound like an ignorant question, but just never worked with a fat client other than having it installed on a PC.

A second question is how have others handled requests where non-developers have requested fat client access.

Hello

Just wondering as I never done that before and looks like it is save to enable DD changes on dataitem and deploy full package will not have a impact in JD Edwards?

There is some DD dataitem was not enable in our system and thinking to enable couple and use for future security purpose example OBJ and SUB

Hi List,


It is possible to have a pages content constructed on the fly?
We have a suite of external 3rd party apps we make in .NET and I've been asked to add them to a single page and point to them with URLs.

These apps grow in number but at the moment they are stored in an E1 custom table to help make the URL. Is there a way to make a page detect a new entry and then change it's pages contents automatically without me having to re do the page?

So, can pages get the html it needs to make the page on the fly somehow.

Otherwise the only solution I had was a new E1 Find Browse whereby the grid records just show whats on the custom table and point that way

I am being told my management to change all system database ID (PRODDTA, CTRLDTA, etc.) passwords to complex passwords. I also have a very experienced CNC team telling me I should NEVER change system ID DB passwords. Can anyone tell me if they have done this before and if it is recommended? I have not found anything related to changing passwords on the Oracle site. I have found CNC consultant blogs that say you SHOULD change system passwords.

Is there a way to 'freeze' an item from being processed anywhere? Say we have a quality issue and need to stop all shipments, work order creation and order entry for an item. Is there one place to set an all out temporary restriction for a particular item? TIA

1) According to Oracle the only kind of Media Object that can be attached to a UBE document through standard Processing Option functionality is a text attachment. Has anyone found a way to include non-text attachments, such as image or document Media Objects?

2) Also according to Oracle, there is no Preventive Maintenance functionality that allows the printing of a Work Order for a parent asset to also kick off Work Orders for the child assets, making them all active at the same time. Does anyone know a way to trick the system into doing this?

The current plan is to do custom development for these tasks, but if that can be avoided it would save a lot of time.

Hello ,
We have a requirement to modify the master BSFN " F4211 End DOC " to update F4211 before commitments , for the application P42101 based on few validations.
also need to validate few other file values and also need to update few custom files based on new sales order , could you please let me know,

1. I see P42101 is calling the BSFN " Sales Order Application Controller - External " and not F4211 End Doc .

• If the BSFN " Sales Order Application Controller - External " internally calling F4211 End Doc ?
• If we will modify F4211 End Doc , it will be considered for P42101 and update F4211 ?
• Do we need to update the cache ( what are the cache) and it will update F4211 after end Doc commitments ?
• If anyone done any such modification in F4211 End Doc for P42101 ? could you provide some more details
• what are teh cache need to be updated ? do you have any sample code ? pls. share

I am using XRCS API to parse a inbound XML file in enterprise one 9.2. I have created a JCHAR *ElementName and JCHAR *ElementText variable to get XML element name and text.
But when I use XRCS_getElementName and XRCS_getElementText, I get only the first character of the tag or value. How to fix this?

Hi all,

I tried to research this with the Oracle documentation and can't seem to find a definite answer ... What is the license cost for developing a custom mobile app built over a custom JDE application? The users will not be mobile only, they use the web as well. I was hearing about a heavy license based on AIS usage, but that was a while ago. If anyone has some real world experience, I'd appreciate the info.

Looking for clarification on this process.

Oracle documentation states data should load to F47011 and 47012 for Inbound 850 to be generated by P40211Z.
However to have P40211Z generate new Sales Orders, it must be in F4001Z and F4011Z.

The Status(P47010) and Revision (P47013) applications look at F47011 and F47012.

If all four (F4001z, F4011z, F47011, F47012) files are loaded, P40211Z only updates SO number/ SP flag etc. to F4001Z and F4011Z. This means the order information cannot be viewed with the status inquiry. Nor will changes in the Revisions application P47013 impact the 850 that needs to process.

We are in World A9.2.1

We are not using position budgeting so we are not copying positions to new year. All of the positions right now are belongs to 2011.

But some days ago, employee transfer approval not working. There was no error shown but, when debugged, the code search for the position in the current year (ie. in 2018) and the fetch operation will not return anything. So it does not approve.

When we tried the approval after copying the position to 2018, the approval works fine. But we don't want to copy the positions to the year.

I am running an application which is calling c bsfn internally.

I am trying to capture jas logs for this.

Will the JAS logs contain only the button click information on application or it will capture the execution of C BSFN as well?

Hi, We run a custom report which copies from SO order N line type to SO order PP Line type. When a single order with many lines are passed to copy and it gets copied properly. Where if multiple order is passed, very first order with multiple line is copied , but from next order onward no lines are copied. Throwing error as "Add to cache F42UI11 failed /Update to cache F42UI11 failed". Can you share the Fix/Solution ASAP.

Hi,

I'm working in a inbound to JDE integration where we are using JDE AIS integration technique. We want to do Purchase Receipt (P4312) using AIS. we used AppStack to acheive it. we tested the service using POSTMAN Request & Response and shared our JSON files to middleware team (SOA) but, they asking us to share the WADL file. so we checked in AIS server for WADL (we thought it will be available like bssv WSDL file in the container) but we couldn't see anthything there.

Is there a way to generate WADL file for each request/response? or Where can we get the WADL file. How can we generate the structure so the middleware can consume it?

We have implemented Expense Management and I would like to know if there is a way to identify in the F20112 table if the expense was manually inputted or was the expense taken from the Credit Card interface table F09E150? Does anyone know if there is a way?
