SSL Handshake Failed !!!
My configuration is as followed:
WebSphere ND 8.5.5.5
IBM HTTP Server 8.5.5.5
Windows 2012 R2
TR 9.1.5.5
E9.1
I am trying to configure HTTPS with HTML and AIS. The way I have the current setup is I have a keystore with all server certificates copied over from a working Web Server running on HTTPS to IBM/HTTPServer/keys/.
I am referencing this keystore in my http.conf file with SSL Enabled.
The error I am receiving on the HTTP Server error.log is ...
[client 10.200.2.117] [1d85280] [11660] SSL0271I: SSL Handshake Failed, client closed connection without sending any data. [10.200.2.117:8827 -> 10.200.2.132:443] [10:37:32.000558745]
On the browser side it displays a "500 Internal Server Error".
As I mentioned above I have a working server with similar config (with only difference of OS which is Windows 2008 R2) setup the same way with no issues. I have done a comparative analysis between both these servers but have not found anything different. I have also checked each certificate which is installed on the server using mmc>Certificate Snap-in.
I have also referred the Oracle document on setting up SSL and have not found anything which I could be missing.

Issues with vocabulary overrides
Hi All.. There is one that is currently faced by one of our standalone's where labels of some forms of an application e.g. P1702 are not getting translated properly in Russian (RU) language while some get translated. There are many appliations in which we are facing this issue. But we are able to see it properly in shared server. We tried to resolve this by sending an ASU from shared server to standalone but still no success. The problem is when an ASU is made, we test it in our sandbox environment and we are able to find the entry of RU language for appl P1702 in F98750 table (DV811) but when we apply the same at standalone we are not able to see the entry in the same table. We always make an ASU from PD of shared server and apply it in Dv of standalone. Also, we use Boomerang tool for making an ASU. The objects which are sent through an ASU are getting successfully checked in DV of standalone but we are not able to find the entries in F98750 table. Can anyone help us on this?

eText Template For Multiple Line Output
Hi there,
I got a problem regarding text output by the BI Publisher.
The szenario: I have a general purpose output to XML which contains multiple data rows of the same structure. After that I need a configurable subset of the fields in the data source which are to be exported to a CSV file. The configuration is needed to be done without any need of further programming, therefore I wanted to use the eText template of a DELIMITER_BASED type.
My problem is that there are multiple nodes/rows in the XML data source which have to be exported to the CSV file. The access to the elements is defined in XPATH syntax. Furthermore the documentation of the NEW-RECORD-command says, that it produces a single line of output.
That implies, that I would have to define the same table for each row and that's ridiculous not only because I cannot know the row count in advance.
I have no idea whether the for each condition is working in this case and if so, where to put it in my template definition. All attempts have failed so far. But isn't exporting multipe lines of data of the same structure a common use case for EDI?
Do you know whether I can accomplish my goal with the eText template or am I pursuing the wrong path here?

JDE XE Version - User Disabled -1
Dear all,

Yesterday, when I change one user to "Disable" status, all of the users change to "Disabled" status automatically and the "Change Fequency" change to -1 value, when the common value is 60 days.
I have found any unusual thing inside the JDE system regarding to this matter.
Can I get your help with this issue?

Replenishment with only Inbound Quantity
Hi all,
when I try to create a replenishment suggestion (using R461601, normal replenishment point and economic method) from a location that has not quantity on hand but has quantity inbound, the system doesn't consider this location (but if there is quantity on hand, it consider also quantity inbound as available).
The same happen if I have the request and elaborate it with R46171.
If I try to do the same for the picking, It works (pick form location with only quantity inbound).
Does someone know if is a bug in the program, a lack in the set up or if there is no way to make a cross docking for the replenishment?

barcode is out of place in PDF output
Hello All,
I have configure all settings to print barcode on PDF from rtf and its working fine but the barcode is not displaying in its place.
For e.g I place my barcode in a cell in a table. When I preview to PDF the barcode goes out of the cell.
I am using barcode font code 128b and font ean-13. I have tried barcode font c39 and its displaying in the cell correctly. I don't know why the other fonts is not displaying in the cell correctly.
Is there a way to control this?

Converting security deposits as unapplied cash using R03B551
I am converting security deposits from a legacy system to JDE - Real Estate/Property mgmt module. Security deposits work just like unapplied cash except in place of "UC" we use "SECD" so it hits a security deposit balance sheet account instead of Open A/R when posting to the GL. I'm using the R03B551 program to read the F03B13Z to create the security deposit records. Everything works great except it places a "UC" in the GL Offset code based on the processing options. Outside of modifying this program or SQL, does anyone know of a way to do this?

BSSV development, how to convert mathnumeric and integers?
Hi All,
I am trying to develop a custom BSSV that makes use of a standard BSFN. The BSFN needs to be passed a mathnumeric value.
I have created the internal and published components but am having trouble assigning this value between the internal and published components. I read the JDE BSSV guide and they mentioned overloading the set method of the internal value object using something like this:

this.numberField= new Integer(numberField.intValue());
}
This doesn't work for me. jDeveloper still complains about trying to set a MathNumeric to an Integer. I thought I could get around it by just changing the data type to Integer but the BSSV does not like this when run and complains about trying to cast integers to mathnumerics.
How do people get around this? I am sure I am missing something simple here?

FAT Client and Web Client giving different output.
Dear All,
I am struggling since many days for resolving this issue.
I have modified the Custom UBE, added few fields and changed position of few fields.
When I run it in FAT Client, the output comes perfectly OK. but when I run it in DV/PY web Client it is not coming same as coming in FAT Client .
Below steps I have taken till date for troubleshooting
I thought it promotional issue so I checked out the object on another project and get it promoted but same issue.
I copied the report to another report and prompted it but same issue.
I run the report in local web (FAT Client's) but same issue is over there
I deleted the version and recreated but same issue is there.

User JDE and password changes
We are on E1 9.0, tools release 9.1.4.7.
We are going to be modifying our password policy, basically increasing the required length from 4 to 8 and adding a special character and number requirement. Our question involves the system proxy user JDE. We plan on changing the password policy, then setting all users (except JDE) to Force Immediate Password Change so the users will have to change their password to comply with the new policy.
However, we want to leave JDE as it is. Is there any issue anyone would see to change the policy but leave JDE with its current password. The steps from Oracle to change the password for user JDE seem rather complex and represents a significant risk for downtime if we didn't do it properly. So we would just prefer to leave it.
Does any one see an issue with this?

How to determine which Pay Codes are caluclated in Box 14 for Canadian Payroll T4's
Hi All,
Now that the T4 season has come and gone again for another year, my payroll team has asked if I can produce a report that shows which of their paycodes are mapped to Box 14 on the Canadian T4.
I know where to find the information for the Special handling boxes
My issue is trying to determine which codes are to be included with Box 14
So far in my invesitgation I have found if I meet any one of these criteria, then the pay code is not included
1) If F069116.CHCK = 1, 4 (Non-Taxable)
2) If F069116.NMTH(Effect on the GL) = H (hours Only) or Y ($'s only)
3) IF F069116.NMTH = M (No Effect) and F069116.CHCK = BLANK
4) IF F069116.TT01 = * (how would we query this as the asterisk is a wildcard)
5) IF F069116.TT01 or TT02 or TT03 or TT04 = 'CB' - Canadian Pension Plan -EE or 'CE' - Canadian Pension Plan - ER
Is there a business function that I can look at for the logic so that I can make sure that I use the same requirements.
I am hoping that there is a much easier way of doing this and I just can't see it

Link objects in PDF report output in E1 8.12, TR 8.96.40
As far as I know, the PDF generated in E1 8.12, TR 8.96.40 is just holds data.
Can I generate pdf/excel files with links to comments, attachments etc.

- They will attach number of documents to a Company record. The custom Company have lot of documents related with it, such as Company Registration document etc.
- They need to submit these documents to government on regular basis.
- They need to generate an Excel sheet with information (stored in JDE tables) and a link to the attached Media Object. They were doing this with Microsoft Access, and they are expecting much more from JDE

RDA RV Variables Wrap Text
From (Doc ID 626624.1) "Report variables (alpha variable or based data dictionary item) are always initialized and print at the display length specified. They will never result in wrapped text."
