How is the equipment number used when it is defined on a routing for a manufactured item? I've searched everywhere I can think of and have not found an answer.

Mod11 check digit
I'm working a project that requires us to send a number with a checkdigit to a vendor. They want the check digit to be Mod 11.
Can't find anything in jd edwards but that doesn't mean it's not in there someone and I don't like recreating wheels.

Tools: 9.2.0.3 to 9.2.0.9?
Dear All,
Hope all is good with you guys! looking for your experiences or suggestions on tools upgrade to 9.2.0.9. We are on tools 9.2.0.3 and noticing a slow UBE's performance after our tools upgrade from 8.98. We are under impression that bug# 23748841 noted at support.oracle might be reason for the slower UBE's. To improve performance we are giving a shot by upgrading our tools to 9.2.0.9 (which is stable release with out any new features added). We would like to know if any one have any experiences around upgrading to 9.2.0.9 and any reasons why we should not upgrade to 9.2.0.9.

R470412 errors
We run custom report based upon the R470412 on the scheduler at night.
In the pdf, there are D, H and N error levels. I looked at the code.
D = order and line error
H = order error
N = no error
The report does not indicate why there is an error. This is the same for R470412. The code does not indicate what would cause a 'D' or 'H' error.
I've gone into the workcenter and F01131 to see if there are any error messages, but there are thousands of lines to go through.
Would anyone have an idea what would cause a D or H error? Where would I get more information on the error?

Table I/O insert being skipped
Hi All,

9.1 Fat Client Through MPLS Connection
My office is connected to the enterprise server location through a dedicated MPSL line. I've attempted to install a full client on my laptop through this connection. Is it standard for this type of connection to be extremely slow, or is it possible that there are issues with the network? It takes ~30 minutes just to get to the installation directory selection when running the E1 client install program. There are other client applications we simply cannot run efficiently over this connection, so I'm wondering if E1 is not recommended on the type of connection I'm using or if there's something else going on.

"hints" on SQL statements - Oracle database
Hi guys! This is not really my area of expertise but i am helping out in investigating performance issues.
The customer is testing E1 9.1 tools 9.2 on Oracle cloud. They have migrated from AS/400 / I-series and db2 database to Oracle Enterprise edition 12c database
Some of the batch jobs are taking dramatically longer to complete on Oracle vs. AS/400. Mostly custom jobs that handle very large number of records and do a lot of table I/O such as looking up UDC codes in F0005 for each record etc, and then write records to custom tables or write to a flatfile
The job execution times are like 2-3 times longer than on AS/400 and, in some cases, 5-6 times longer for the affected UBES
In general (with some exepctions) the UBEs (standard and custom) run 2-3 times slower
Some jobs actually run faster on Oracle cloud (not many though)
- Enterprise server is not on same physical server as the database.
- System seems to be "idling" (CPU, memory, network traffic, database metrics) so the constraint is not in processing power
- Number of database cursors is set to 1.000 or higher and is not a bottleneck
- Interactive performance (JAS server, applications) is Excellent, it is only the UBEs where we see performance issues
- P98613 database caching table is populated in same way Old vs. new environment (AS/400 vs. Oracle cloud)
To me, it seems that the difference is due to AS/400 having SQL packages so the tables/results like UDC table records being accessed heavily get "cached" in DB/2 but not on Oracle cloud. Looking at the logs, i can see that the jobs on AS/400 take same time to complete as on Oracle cloud if run for a small number of records and the time to fetch the first F0005 record is same as on oracle cloud for the first few records but much faster for each subsequent records. While the time to get results from F0005 is always the same on Oracle cloud (Just an example, other table lookups demonstrate similar behaviour)
I have been reading about "hints" that can be assigned to SQL statements on Oracle database like "RESULT_CACHE". Is there anything in that could be configured in this area in E1 so these hints would be added to the SQL statement?
Also, the logging/journalling is turned ON for the database but many of these jobs use a worktable that is always cleared when the job is started. Apparently, the logging can be turned off for selected tables but the SQL statement also must have the "hint" to not write to the re-do log. So, again, is there a way to get this "hint" to be added or anything else that could be done to turn off logging for selected tables in the business data
Any tips appreciated :-)

Change G/L class of an address book number
There is one request I received from Finance Dept to reclassify the G/L Class of address book number.
For example, the supplier 123 with G/L Class PY03 - Affiliate Payable, will hit 4-113100.
Now, they want to move the supplier from PY03 to PR13 - Related Parties Payable to hit another account 4-113200.
What are the things I have to accomplish this task.
In my understanding (I'm just a developer), I have to do the following.
- Change GL class to PR13
- Setup AAI to hit new account.
- Do journal entry to move balance from old account to new account.

BI Publisher Pulling Image Dynamically from network
E1 9.1 TR 9.1.5.7 OS400 7.1 BSSV Weblogic
Switching Logo's on Invoices using Word 2010 BI Publisher. It goes out and gets the 1st logo but the rest of the invoice have the same logo as the 1st.
When I look at the XML it has the different URL logo for each Invoice. But it never uses them.
I appreciate any help you can send my way. Thanks

It does go out and retrieves the 1st one but the rest has the same logo.

WebSphere 8.5.5.9 and tools 9.1.4.4
We are looking at upgrading our WebSphere (current version 7.0.0.29) to WebSphere 8.5.5 on the IBM i. This is a pre-cursor project to upgrading our iSeries o/s from 7.1 to 7.2. Our WebSphere consultants are hoping to install WebSphere V8.5.5 with fix pack 9 (8.5.5.9). We logged a call with Oracle support, and development came back and said fix pack 5 for WebSphere 8.5.5 has been tested with tools 9.1.4.4, but not WebSphere 8.5.5.9. Oracle development indicated it may work, but if issues are found, Oracle is not going to patch 9.1.4.4, which makes sense. We are wondering if anyone has implemented WebSphere 8.5.5.9 with tools 9.1.4.4 and have it working. Did you come across many issues when testing E1 after implementing fix pack 9?

OTOT getting incremented by starting OTOT amount
We are having the problem that when we go to the app P4310 (working with order details) and make touch a line. Say change quantity then put it back and save. the OTOT (amount) is being increased by it's original amount. So every time you go to the detail line you get in increment in the header file by the original amount. This is causing a problem where amount increments as many times as someone makes a change in the orders details.
I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem, before i go in and try to debug the .c files to see what is going on.

Automatically Add "holiday" ITEM to Sales Order through Advanced Pricing Rules?
I think it's possible. I'm currently working with an adjustment schedule that I call HOLADD that is set to be an add on amount. In the adjustment definition I have it setup as an order level adjustment with an adjustment control code of 3 (add to sales detail file).
What I'm hoping to have happen is setup an amount for each of my customers (a holiday charge), and set a short date range to cover a specific holiday, so that the system knows to add X item at X price for that particular customer.
I was able to get it to work using the "print on invoice" adjustment control code, but we want it to show up as an actual line item on the sales order. I can't figure out what is missing from my setup, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

With Logo, PDF is blank
Hi,
I created custom .TTF font to add logo in PDF. we use citrix and JDE XE version on citrix for development. . I added logo (thro Font) as like regular process. When i run the report, PDF shows all blank. Same when i remove the logo from design mode and run the report, PDF comes with data. Font is placed in citrix severs .
What is the issue. We had upgraded to 10.1.16 version Adobe also and then when we ran it throw error as Font needs to be installed in Adobe.
Same font/Logo when i used in a fat system with citrix, PDF prints with Logo and other Data . I face problem only in Citrix dev side and report comes as blank.
What may be the cause for it. Plz reply at earliest and tnx in advance.
