Estimate time for vanilla installation of JDE 9.2

Hi,

Would you please give me some idea how much time will take to install JDE 9.2 on windows server. Including OS, database. DV,PY and prod everything would be in same box. I am not CNC guy. Wanted to have some idea, my office is considering to install it.

Minimum value Order

We are on One World Xe and we need a way set pricing such that the minimum order value is let's say $100. I the customer orders $75 worth of items we need the pricing to automatically round up to $100. Is there a way to do this on xe? I am aware of the minimum order value hold but we dont want to use it since it will be very manually intensive for users to release the hold.

BI publisher output not opening on web

Hello All ,

I am trying to make a BI publisher RTF template for R09801. I designed the RTF template and the preview in the word seems to be working fine but when I try to run it on the web the following Error message is displayed

"An error occurred attempting to view the file for this Report Definition. Please see logs to determine the source of the error."

Can any one help me with this as I am new to BI publisher and RTF templater designs? My JDE toolset is 9.1.4 and BI publisher desktop version is 11.1.1.7. Attached are the RTF template and XML output.

Tools Release upgrade 9.1.2.4 to 9.2.0.1

I am the CNC at my company and I am planning to upgrade our tools release from 9.1.2.4 to 9.2.0.1. During my planning process, I discovered that the JDE developers were using JAX-RPC to build and deploy BSSVs. I am aware that 9.2.0.X only uses JAX-WC.

Is there a way to convert JAX-RPC to JAX-WC? Or perhaps some other work around?

Search for Full report inventory and top used reports in JDE

Currently we have a requirement from our project team to retrieve the full inventory of all canned and custom report in JDE and also get the top 20 most widely used reports by business from JDE, is there a table or a report within JDE that will provide this information? any help in this regards is appreciated

AIS Testing using SoapUI

I am trying to perform a testing using SoapUI for my AIS installation. This is a simple test for tokenrequest as outlined in this doc (probably written by Jon)

However my test is failing with this message:

The AIS logs show this error:

Interestingly though my TEST connection works for AIS, also I am able to open the Apps from my iPAD using this AIS URL so I know the AIS installation works. Moreover I have verified that the Allowed host entry is set to "*" on the JAS server.

I bumped into this Doc id on MOS:
E1: MOB: AIS Server Connection Error <JAS ERROR OUTPUT: http://[machine_name]:9999/jde/FormServiceRequest> (Doc ID 1929480.1)

But I have checked the environment names and they are correct.

Has anybody got this error, seems like I am missing something..not sure what.

Meanwhile this is E9.1 on TR 9.1.5.5 with WebSphere 8.5.5.5 installation.

As mentioned before the AIS works great form the Apps but I needed to test this from SoapUI.

How to know who the user made an auditing information on table at find/search form?

my question to know who the user made any change in the data at table in search/find form by using business function and auditing information? and from this I need to extract these information:

User ID (USER)
Program ID (PID)
Date - Updated (UPMJ)
Time - Last Updated (UPMT)


Just I need the steps of work and what the tools I have to use ??

Hi,
We have a new business case where there is a possibility of 80 Million records hitting the F0911 each year and expecting a growth rate of 10% YOY. We are on JDE 9.1 on Oracle DB. Does any one have a similar experience? What are the performance issues?

UBEs stuck on " P " and created deadlock and zombies

Hi All


I have a question regarding one issue that happend recently. Basically one job was stuck on P status for a long time and created some deadlocks and zombies from UBE kernel. Because of this whole production stopped for 2 hours as it blocked everything in queue.

It was a BIP report with Print Immediate option turned on. We have some logs to ORacle but did not really received any root cause for this.

Logs are from UBE kernel.

Weblogic procees uses at least 60% of CPU

Hello

On our server we have an issue that since last week the CPU is getting up to 95%. We have find out that process WEBLOGIC is using more than 60% and should be max 20%.

What could cause such an issue as we are looking for a root cause for this ?

Createform Printing of MICR line in Createform 7X

We print the MICR line on our cheques using Createform. The bank uses a testing centre that now tests the MICR line the readability and the positions of all fields on the cheque so that the cheque may now be scanned directly from a cell phone directly into the bank. We are having problems with the bank cheque testing centre. Our MICR line does not always print in the exact same place because of the way the cheque stock paper pulls the paper. So I defined the MICR field as left justified and have the MICR field printing at the bottom of the field. That is not working so was going to have the MICR line print left justified but have the MICR line always centered in the middle of the field. Our USD cheque the MICR line the signal is coming back high and they indicated some of our USD MICR characters are too high. We use the exact same MICR font (IDAutomationMICR B point 12) for our Canadian and US MICR line printing so why would one have a high signal and certain characters be too tall or too high on one when the Canadian bank MICR line is not a problem. We print both MICR lines in exactly the same place, using the exact same font using the exact same printer and toner. Any ideas.

Lastly, the bank said our convenience amount box/rectangle for the cheque amount in figures has too dark a background. They also said our convenience amount box filler is too dark. Every time I lightened the box they still say it is too dark. Background reflectance within Convenience Amount Rectangle must be >=60%. PCS of Convenience Amount Rectangle Outline must be <=.30. Have been using Createform 7x to try and meet these standards and it keeps failing. Has anyone else had these issues with the bank? Please advise. We have been through 5 testing cycles with the bank testing center and each turnaround is approximately 2 weeks. We are going live with our new Createform 7x in just over a week and we still do not have these last few cheque testing issues resolved. I live in Canada so I am following the Canadian Payments Association for Canada.

Which RF is best ?

Hi,
I'm working at a client that is looking to utilize fairly basic RF technology in their manufacturing, warehouse and distribution facilities. They are upgrading to EnterpriseOne 9.2 currently.

The company is subject to FDA computer system validation and will likely need a few modifications to enable functional requirements from any base software packages. They are considering products from DSI, RF Smart and RF Gen.

I am seeking opinions and more importantly facts if available about which of the three mentioned providers products/platform is best and why.

Example questions:
Which software has the most "standard" scripts?
Which software platform is the most integrated to JDE out of the box?
Which development tools are the best and easiest to use by customers?
etc.

In case you missed this

There is no direct upgrade path from EnterpriseOne 8.9, 8.10, 8.11 or 8.11 SP1 to 9.2

There are direct upgrade paths from Oneworld Xe, 8.0, 8.12, 9.0 and 9.1

Oracle is recommending that if you're on any of the versions without a direct upgrade, that you upgrade to 9.1 first.

Its important to note that Oracle completely removed all the table conversions for 8.9, 8.10 and 8.11 out of the F98430. They exist for the other versions.

Of course this means that you need at least two deployment servers if you're coming from an earlier release, and everything doubles in time. I am in the midst of an 8.10 upgrade to 9.2 - and its a real, real pain. Its like upgrading B733 to Xe all over again.

Luckily, Boomerang can still take all the objects from 8.10 directly to 9.2 - but the table conversions are a real challenge to complete. You have been forewarned !

There is a logic in B4100020 based on lpBhvrCom->iBobMode. If I call this bsfn from application, lpBhvrCom->iBobMode is going as add mode but if I call the same bsfn from ube, it is going as update mode. From ube also, I want to set this add mode, anyone has any idea on how to achieve this?

We are checking application P4114 and we are calling bsfn ND3N4114 in our custom report.

Hi All,

Appreciate your thoughts on the below Scenario;

Quantity ordered is less than quantity shipped in Sales Order. Order is Sales updated.

Ordered Quantity is 24 EA, Shipment Confirmed is 40 EA, Item cardex has transaction equals to 40 EA and Sales update happened for 40 EA.

How to get Quantity Ordered and Quantity Shipped in Sync?

R47002C Set-up for Server Keeps Failing: "Open of File Unsuccessful" in WorkCenter

I have E812 on an iSeries. Successfully set-up and processed a "JDEVOUCH" inbound file on the FAT client that populated F0411Z1 and F0911Z1.
However, I really need to have this run on the web server - getting the data from the IBM IFS.

I have tried all sorts of combinations of paths, checked the Oracle documentation, contacted IBM - all to no avail in terms of something that works.

Normally, in a custom program that I would write from scratch to import CSV or text data, I would place the data in the IFS > Root > PD812 (or PY812) > import
How would I represent this to be stored in F47002 via P47002? I am forced to use R47002C as we are bringing a new company on board and trying to keep the expenses down.

I came across in Oracle documentation some mention of a Z: drive, but have no clue how to set it up.

Can anyone help?

How to call another section repeatly and pass in new data selection each time?

I have an existing custom UBE and it has one section called A. It uses the below commands in its Initialize Section because there are additional data selection that users will enter when they run this UBE and it does all the work in the Do Section


Set Selection Append Flag( <Yes>)

Set User Selection(BC Date - For G/L (and Voucher) - Julian (F0911)(DGJ), <Less Than or Equal To>, PO Ending GL Date, <And>)

Set User Selection(BC Date - For G/L (and Voucher) - Julian (F0911)(DGJ), <Greater Than or Equal To>, PO Beginning GL Date, <And>)


Everything is fine. Now my new requirement is I have a As Of Date, let's say 12/31/2014. I need to go back 13 months so I need to call section A 13 times and pass in a beginning date and ending date values for 13 months like the below


12/1/2014, 12/31/2014 //December

11/1/2014, 11/30/2014 //November

10/1/2014, 10/31/2014 //October

...Go back all the way to Dec 2013

12/1/2013, 12/31/2013


I'm thinking of making section A a conditional section and create a new section called Main Driver and in a while loop, figure out the ending and beginning dates and call section A 13 times and pass in these 2 date values. It's not working so far.


Do you know the best way to do this?

Cant install PD on FAT client

Hey all,

im getting an error when trying to install PD environment package on my FAT client, i already have DV and PY installed but i cant get the pd to work.
