Service Billing

I have 5 companies and wants it to consolidate or carry over to a new company. Is there a way to carry over or attached the previous companies (eg. 165,135,145) to a new company 417?

Reverse Item Master Interoperability upload in 8.12

Is there any way to reverse interoperabilty item master upload ?

Now, all the items from the Excel is in JDE Item Master table, but we missed some reference field. So cannot upload the Item/ Branch, Location, Cost entries :-(

Watchlist query issue

Hi,
When I create query that shows e.g. all jobs in status "P" in P986110B, the query works fine.
"Clear form when selected" tag in the query is used to clear my User ID from the form because jobs are running with another User ID.
Now if this query is used in watchlist, it shows zero results because the query in the watchlist is not clearing my User ID.
How do I get the watchlist to work without it selecting the User ID?

Accounts Payable, pay by Supplier or Payee?

We are on E9.0, tools 9.1.4.7.

We have an issue where we have two outstanding vouchers for the same payee and we want them to net to pay them. One voucher is -135.20, the other is for say 200.00. They have the same payee but different suppliers. The reasons relates to tax withholding that I won't go into details on.

But the bottomline is we have both suppliers and the payee set to 'Pay By Supplier' in the supplier master.

So I thought that when we ran the payment group, it would combine those two to pay 64.80. What did happen was that on the Create Payment Group report it showed the -135.20 as a total for one supplier, but -135.20 is below our minimum to pay and the other supplier had a payment of 200.00.

Reviewing, does the setting of 'Pay by Supplier' mean that it will never combine two vouchers with different suppliers, but the same payee?

Our minimum payment on the processing options of R04570 is -.01, but that should apply to the minimum we will pay, not whether or not the amount will combine with another voucher for the same payee.

So out bottomline question really is, can you net two vouchers together that have the same payee but different suppliers?

Accumulate Item Shipped Quantities in C BSFN

Hello All,

I have a C BSFN that needs to populates an Item Array and accumulate Item totals, sounds simple enough.....I will give a visual with an explanation.

Read From F4211:::
Item: Qty:
2760039 4
2760040 3
3740089 3
2760039 2
2760040 2
050077 1
810010 1
2520132 1
2760039 2

What the Array should look like after F4211 read completes:::

I just cant seem to get this to work, doesn't need to be an array. Just need an efficient means of accumulating those with multiple records.

Rounding Unit Price - UPRC 4 digits to 2 digits

Hello All,

We have a unique requirement where Unit Price for all items has to be 2 digits. Consider Item ABC. Price of this item is sum of 3 adjustments which are Percentage based. So sometimes 3% of Cost comes as 2.678 and finally Unit price becomes 10.678 (just an example). Now we dont want to write UPRC = 10.678 in F4211 but as 10.68. This is a rigid requirement. We tried to round of GC UPRC in P421002. But if we round, JDE senses this as a Price override, turns the F4211.PROV = 1 and obsoletes all the adjustments of F4074. I am now analyzing the C BSFN's building the price, if I can round the adjustment calculations 3% of Cost comes as 2.678 to 2.68. Not sure this is feasible or good idea or not.

We even tried using round off in Advanced Pricing setup. But Functional guy says it does not work.

Any idea, suggestions - Technical of Functional, To DO - Not to do, experiences highly appreciated. We on E 9.20

LaunchGen Login Error E1 Standalone 9.2

Trying to do the e-generation on Standalone 9.2 (Win7) using guide on JdeSource. Logged in to Standalone as demo user, executed CMD as Admin and ran LaunchGen.bat. Generator v5.2 started, then clicked Connect and entered demo credentials demo/demo/demo920/*ALL... Received error message popup: "Unable to login, Please check JAS logs".

Where are the JAS logs located?
Any suggestions how to pinpoint the error?

Use of JDE E1 in Medical Device manufacturing environment.

I hope this is the best forum for this general request....

I'd like to connect with others who are using JDE E1 in a Medical Device manufacturing environment. I'm new to JDE E1 and would like to understand to what degree others have addressed regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, FDA parts 820, 211, 11) within the JDE software either through a native module or through third party software integration. Ultimately I'm looking for a high degree of ERP/Quality System integration, and I'd like to understand how well others have been able to integrate.

Please let me know if you would be open to discuss, or if I should be posting elsewhere.

Getting the next hundred records from getAddressBook

Hi,

I am making a request to /AddressBookManager?WSDL invoking getAddressBook, I am getting the first hundred records from it and the question would be if there's a way to get the next hundred then the next hundred(pagination)?

I've been looking for possible solutions like sending parameters/arguments to the method when invoking it just want to know if this is possible at all.

I don't have access to the JDE and was just given the wsdl, and having a hard time guessing what is possible or not.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Question on 9.2 upgrade

I am going to be installing JDE 9.2 on a system that already has JDE 8.12 and 9.1 on my IBM i. What I basically want to do is install the Server map, System, and Path code (DD and OL are OK too). I do NOT want to upgrade TESTDTA/CTL. I opened a call with Oracle asking if I take the traditional upgrade path asking if my TESTDTA/CTL libraries would be left alone, they were unable to tell me.

Can someone that has installed 9.2 on a system that already has an instance of JDE tell me will a traditional upgrade leave my TESTDTA/CTL libraries intact?

I know how to create my 9.2 xxxTESTDTA/CTL libraries manually.

jde bssv consumer xml/json

we've got a project where we need to integrate with a third party web service and the third party only accepts json objects as the payload in their restful api. from what i read, all i have access to in the JDE C bsfn is the Xcerces XML parser.

As I see it I've got four options

1) write the json string by hand in C (i just threw up a little)
2) send xml to the bssv consumer and have the java convert xml/json before payload is delivered and after the the response, before it goes back to the calling C bsfn. (i don't even know if this is possible)
3) jde c has a json parser?
4) just won't work

Anyone have any experience with a bssv consuming a json web service?

Different system users between interactive and ubes

We have a sox requirement to track BAs changing data via interactive, but we don't want our sql audit reports to include updates from UBEs. To do this a user running a UBE needs to use a different System user than the interactive session.

I think I have it figured out, but I wanted to see if anyone else agrees.

SQL 2008R2
E9.1, tools 9.1.4.7
We have 2 enterprise servers, ES1 and ES2. ES1 is used only for interactive BSFN, ES2 is batch/ube.
JDEBA and JDEUSER are setup and both work as system users. JDEBA is tracked in our sqlaudit, JDEUSER is not.

First, ES1 and ES2 share a table map, I'll have to split those into unique mappings.

I'll create a "Business Data - PRODBA", for the BA users which is the same data as "Business Data - PROD", I'll make P98OWSEC (and the P980001 passwords mappings) map Default data source to system user JDEUSER and "Business Data - PRODBA" to system user JDEBA. Then in OCM mappings for the System map and ES1 server map, have the BA users default tables in PD910/JPD910 map to "Business Data - PRODBA". ES2 server map will remain the same as now, everyone mapped to "Business Data - PROD" for PROD tables.

Interactive and BSFNs called from interactive should then use system user JDEBA for BA users when updating PROD data.
UBES and the BSFNS called from UBES should map to system user JDEUSER, and not get caught in our SQL audit, assuming they are run on ES2.

Does anyone see holes in this?

Query performance on WebLogic...

We're in the process of migrating from WebSphere to WebLogic, and we're having a strange problem with query performance. An initial find in a screen will take two seconds or less, and repeating that find in the next few seconds is even quicker. But repeating the find at some later time takes significantly longer, usually around six seconds. Initially we thought this was happening after 30 seconds, but now that we've tested with three different servers, the time at which this happens seems to vary -- sometimes it'll be OK two minutes later or more, but sometimes it'll be bad after just like 25 seconds. The delay also seems to happen sometimes when switching between open applications. If it was simply that after a time the query/application switch speed was the same as the first time, I wouldn't be concerned, but it's consistently 4-5 seconds more, which I think is going to be frustrating for users. Anyone have any ideas? This is WebSphere 12.1.3.0.0 on RedHat 6.8.
