Reading JDE Debug logs. What tools do you use?

Hi folks,

What E1 3rd party tools do you use to make sense of an E1 jdedebug.log?

I use LogWb and am trying to use JDETrace but I get a format error

What do you guys use?

I have recently been researching if there is a way to manage the price obtained when creating a purchase order from the P4310 program, knowing that the price is taken from the P41061 Purchasing Catalog program only if there is a relationship between the item, supplier, and plant. Otherwise, the weighted average cost of the item is used. Using a field returned in the same for request

I imagine not, but is it possible to use a field that was returned during the form recording in the next screen called by the process?

I ask this because of the return process where the VL used on the next screen is returned during the recording, and I would like to know if we can use this value, but I imagine not. :confused:

How to compose a JET Dashboard Page in E1

Hi all

Just thought I'd post up my steps I did to make a JET page to render E1 data into graphs.
At the end I have added my template for a Pie and Bar chart.

The trick is to fathom that all the dashbaords are just composite pages made up of 'tiles' that point to a new type of E1 APPL form. (You will find loads on your system ending in X - they contain no code just a pointer to an E1 page)

JDE Tables and definitions

Hello, I am new to JDE 9.2 and trying to learn about the system. Would someone be able to tell me where do I go to find the data dictionary? I am not sure how to find this.
Also, is there a way to see all the tables and fields for those tables in one window? I have visited a few websites (e.g. https://jde.erpref.com/?schema=920) and have not found anything which allows me to see all the fields in one screen. Thanks for your help!

BI publischer dynamic path image concat doesn't work in alternative description

Hi all.
In bi publisher in rtf template
I want to choose an image dynamically.

So in the template on the image alternative description i put the following text:

url:{concat('C://Users/gspiluttini/Pictures','/PITTOGRAMMI',Logo_ID999)}

i concatenate the path with the element in xml file Logo_ID999=/5_1.png

i f i run the pdf preview no image is displyed.

If i change the text( i substitute the variable with constant) in the image alternative description like that...

Transform Question - How to only print totals on the last page of a PO.

Our school has purchased Transform and I received training but we used all of training hours before completing the documents we were creating. Unfortunately our PO is 95% completed, and my boss' boss wants it in production yesterday, and they tell me we don't have funds to purchase any more training hours.

I have one issue - I'm currently printing the final dollar amount total on every page of the PO in the TOTAL box and Purchasing needs the final total only to appear on the very last page...

Figuring out how a field is calculated

I apologize as I'm not a developer. But getting developer help on anything is a struggle for us....

We have a batch process that creates a calculation in a field in a customized table (such as summarize forecast quantity for next month and save that number in the field).

in our case, we are finding that the calculation doesn't make sense as it's too high. So we are trying to figure out if there is something else being added to the calculations that's causing the issue.

Login issue due to the Friday outage

Since Friday jde is down. We have the As400 And Oracle jdedwards Enterprise one. I logged into the 400 and stopped the jde 812 subsystem then restarted them told the infrastructure team who restart two servers one being the wev server. Usually everyone can login at this point but currently I still get this error "sign in error. The security server is down or cannot be reached. I would greatly appreciate any input from you experts on what is happening and what steps can fix this issue. Tia.

Currently in the process of designing/configuring kicking off model maintenance orders when an assets' hour meter reaches an increment. The portion I am working on right now is implementing Oracles Example Orchestration for JDE_ORCH_Sample_UpdateMeterReadings. The Orchestration uses a form request over P12120U. Problem promoting menu changes

We are on E1 9.0 and for the first time, I am trying to promote menu changes using OMW. We previously had just made the changes directly in Prod.

I have an OMW project that has only Solution Explorer Task, Task Relationship, Task Variant items on it. I had previously moved this project from 21 (programming) to 26 (QATest/Review) with no issue. Then I moved it back to 25 (rework) and back to 21.

Error calculating VAT?

I have noticed that from time to time when raising a purchase order that the automatic calculation of VAT can produce an error (usually a small amount) e.g. on an amount of £228.50 net @ 20% VAT system calculates VAT as £45.64 rather than £45.70. I appreciate this is a small amount however I do not understand why there should be a difference.

Also when making an adjustment to purchase order to match VAT calculation of a Supplier, the adjustment does not not appear to be correctly...

MRP/Item Availability Using Commits from Closed Work Order

I'm seeing a scenario where we have a MRP commitment for a firm work order that is "closed". Once our manufacturing facility completes a work order, it is moved to a status 95 - Manufacturing complete. The quantity committed in F3111 still shows an amount, even though the work order has been issued. I can see the quantity in both Item Availability and MRP. Is there some place we need to go set up the statuses used for commitments for work orders?

Calling Orchestrations with Logic Extensions from Boomi with multiple threads - not threadsafe?

We have an orchestration with some LEX steps being called from Boomi. Boomi is configured to call the Orchestration multithreaded (up to 5 threads) so the Orchestration will have 5 simultaneous instances running when it has lots of records to process.

We are getting exceptions from the Logic extensions in the Orchestration - about 1 in 10 randomly. Re-running the orchestration manually by itself always succeeds.

If we limit Boomi to one thread, the orchestration calls always succeed.

jdedebug.log has activity log only starting from level break footer section. Code run within Report Header, page Header not logged.

Looking into this custom report that is going all wrong in production.
jdedebug.log for report run on the enterprise server is truncated, it has activity log only starting from level break footer section. Code that is run within Report Header, page Header is not logged. This jdedebug.log has error "demem.c144   - BMD OFF - Not running BSFN MEMORY DIAGNOSTICS v8.98.2.0 level 0" in the beginning (line 6), followed by code

jdedebug.log for same report run correctly has all details of code...

Orchestration - Connector (Groovy) passing an array to a Form Request

I am having trouble with an Orchestration containing a Connector (Groovy) passing an array to a Form Request. Below is how I wan to make it work -

1. Parent Orchestration has a Connector and a Form Request
2. Connector has Groovy script basically a SQL SELECT statement joining F4101-F40072 tables to find NULL records in F40072 (with WHERE condition on specific SRP values in F4101)
