Hi folks. As some are aware, Oracle Cloud has a fully functional trial edition of E1 9.2 that is a free 1 month trial. I've gone through the process of registering and standing it up, and running the first time config and it all went smooth.
BUT - I cannot connect to the web server - that URL doesn't respond. According to the doco, it should be at the same i.p. address as the main service, with the nominated port and usual e1menu.maf suffix.
I see nowhere in the doco any mention of an address for the ServerManager and wonder if there's just no started web instance.
Has anyone here had success with this trial, and know what I'm missing?

Anyone ever do this? There is a stock BSFN but it's client only.
Pretty sure the data reside in F983051.VRPODATA in | delimited string.
We need to set the financial period/year on 20-30 reports before submitting. Else we have to change the database (F0010) and clear cache.

Hi folks
I have an issue with your page designer in that if I add a APP ID Form ID and then go to select Version, I sometimes see one version.
Even though DV has 7 listed in IV and UT has 9 listed
No matter where I point my OCMs to I still only sree one version and it's XJDE0001. I need to add VJDE0001 as below

Where is your software going to get the version list?

Yes, on the machine where you are running E1PD, which may be Fat Client. - in E1PD, there is a settings screen where you can force it to refresh the caches, E1PD caches these Version names and what you see there is coming from those caches, so if the caches are old, they would not have any new Versions there and need to be refreshed.
I don't know where this setting is in my DV FAT Client

Hi technical people
In the BI Publishing Burst definition (P95620) is a field to override the from email address.
For this to work obviously the address needs to be valid and have the appropriate permissions. This however is where my knowledge is lacking. I now understand that from a JDE perspective changes need to be made in the JDE.ini of the server that processes the UBE as well as the enterprise manager. An external organisation made those changes and the email subsequently sent did indeed have the new address as indicated in the burst setup as the From address. At least it did whilst testing with my internal email address

Once I tried to send emails externally, no more emails were sent and even other BI Publishing documents (still set up to send from the default address) were no longer emailed!
We have since reversed all setup.
However I would still like to use this functionality. Does anybody have an insight why this failed and/or have a clear set of instructions as to what is required?

HI.
I am a developer.
I uploaded records from csv file to F03012Z1(Batch Customer Master). The csv file contains records for CO 00999. When I ran R03010Z, it created two records for one AN8, one record for CO 00999 and another record for CO 00000. Line of business is turned on.
What is the purpose of CO 00000 record?
Can I keep both records -- CO 00999 and CO 00000?

Hi, I just created a simple watch list. I reviewed it by clicking WL flag icon. I can see it, but system only says : update in process and no counting records- WL color
If someone have a clue, it will be very appreciated.

I faced a issues, I created a report footer in existing report. The original report will only print one page, but after added the report footer, the print will become two page and the page header also duplicated printed? Could you please let me know how to fix this problem?

We are on apps 9.0, tools 9.1.4.7. Our current issue is this.
We have a user we asked to log onto our QA environment and do some testing. However, when she logs in to the QA env, clicking the Navigator button does not bring down any options. Also clicking on Favorites does not bring up anything. When she is logged into production , this all works. I tried my own JDE id on her laptop, I have the same problem on her PC.
If I try on my own PC, it works fine, but only on her laptop does it act like this. both with my id and hers.
Any thoughts on where to start looking would be appreciated.

I have an interesting situation in that we are encountering duplicate LOTNS at server midnight. (which are actually the 0001 LOTN for the previous day!!!)
I think this is because our server is using US CST timing yet we are a global company and users are active in the Poland and Singapore warehouse when the server scrolls through midnight and the BSFN X41LOT gets the LOTN and the F0002 reference resetting to 0001.
The key to F4108 is LOTN ITM MCU so a duplicate LOTN is allowed if the MCU is different.
X41LOT does 2 things when it gives you back the LOTN.
1) go to F0002 SY = 40 N0008 = MDDnnnn format
(M month DD day of month nnnn = increment NN that resets each day if the MDD used in the call is DIFFERENT to the F0002 value
1a) increment N0008
2) Check newly formatted LOTN of YYMMDDNNNN already exists on F4108
If it does try again +1 until happy
Usually steps 1 and 2 and very quick as the MDDnnnn stored in F0002 is the last known LOTN for that day anyway.
BUT......
If something Calls B4100500 > X41LOTN > B4000620 with yesterdays date as midnight has scrolled passed AND F0002 has already been reset to todays actual new date it will cause a reset.
So for today example is 0420 (yesterday) and (today) 0520
This will then cause X41LOTN to loop through ALL the LOTNs YYYYMMDDnnnn +1 all the way through yesterdays lots to find the next available LOTN....
Now then, when it's doing this loop (which may take 12 seconds to complete) can anyone tell me if the LOCK on F0002 is a one lock until it finds the next free LOTN (so 12 seconds long lock)
OR
Is it a load of small millisecond locks that is freed up each time as it finds and checks the LOTN for use. So multiple 0.045 second (for example) locks
Not sure if that makes sense, but it's to put into words :)

Hi all!
I have created an orcehstration which has these steps
1. Data request service to retrieve all changed purchase orders (returns a data set)
2. A message service request to iterate through the data set and send e-mail for each changed purchase order. The e-mail contains the PO type and number + Related sales order number
The message also contains a shortcut to P4310 where i pass the order type, order number to form interconnects
My problem is that the e-mail shows all string values inside double quotes like Order number 123456, order type "OP" (i can live with that) but it also passes the double quotes to the form the interconnects. So when user opens the link to P4310 form, it is populated with order type "O instead of OP (i.e. it passes the double quote character and not just the values inside the double quote)
I tried creating a separate orchestration for sending the message (using a connector from the first orchestration to the second)
In the second orchestration, i changed the orcehstration input variables to all be of numeric type. But this did not change the behaviour, the double quotes persist in the message and shortcuts
This is on orchestrator studio v8
I am hoping someone else has experienced this and may have found a solution? Because this behaviour makes the shortcut in message totally useless

I installed the E1 Enterprise Server Platform Pack 9.2.0.0 on Oracle Linux 7, same server as the Oracle Enterprise Db 12c 12.2.0.1. I also installed...and later de-installed, then re-installed the Oracle 32-bit client trying to troubleshoot this issue and thinking the client might be the culprit, since I tried everything else. Starting up E1 (RunOneWorld.sh) still results in the 'JDB9900436 driver type "O"' error below in the jde log. So does PORTTEST. Note that I can log into the 12c database as the jde920 OS user via sqlplus, and then db user JDE@orcl. I've pasted 1.) the jde_ log, and 2.) my enterpriseone.sh contents and 3.) my [DB SYSTEM SETTINGS] and [SECURITY] settings from my JDE.INI file. Any direction would be much appreciated.

Hi All ,
I have joined this group only today and have close to 2 years of JDE Technical experience and am well versed in forms , reports . I am not that proficient in C. I have been asked to analyse debug logs on some occasions and that gets me anxious.
I work on Jde 9.2 platform and want to get over this anxiety.
Through this forum , I would like to know if anyone can guide how to go about analysing these logs in a stepwise way(Like determining what each error code means etc etc..)

Hi folks,
I've had several people ask about some capabilities in the Data Browse tool, so I figured I would post here ...
1. You can drag columns to create your own customized "view" of the table or view. When dragging, hold down the shift key and it will go into turbo mode. This makes it faster to get those columns to the left.
2. Double click the column header to sort on the column. Keep double clicking to cycle through Asc, Desc and no sort. The order of the sorted columns in the grid controls the ORDER BY clause in the query.
3. Select a range of values (SQL BETWEEN) using the syntax {from..to}. So for F0101 AB records between 100 and 500 {100..500}
4. Select list of values (SQL IN) using the syntax {x,y,z}. So for F0101 AB records 100,200 and 500 {100,200,500}
5. Save your Query (column order, filter values) to a file to use again from Data->Save Query menu option.
I'm thinking of creating a column finder tool in the Data Browse window where you can type in the DD item name and it will find the column for you.

I have a job interview that requires using Enterprise One. I haven't come across this platform before, is there anywhere to get a simple overview of what this is please?
Is it essentially a database for 3rd party data visualizations, such as Qlik Sense, to extract data?

Curious if anyone has ever found a way around this... JD Edwards obviously does not play well with regards to JDE based table triggers recognizing data when it is inserted/changes using SQL. I have a situation i'm trying to work around where an external application is pushing data into a temporary table and I would ideally like to have JDE execute some business functions with this data that has been inserted - I cannot determine a way to get JDE to recognize that the data is there. That being said, could obviously execute a UBE on a schedule but that is not nearly real time enough for this operation. Any ideas are appreciated.

Arabic text in Excel report output is not showing correctly (as attached). But it is okay in PDF. Do we need to do any settings so that the CSV file can hold Arabic text.
