Printing multiple paystubs at once for an employee

Hello all, We have an employee that would like to have a printout of his paystubs from Jan 2017 to August 2018. Is there a UBE that would make this possible?

I've tried using R07186 and playing with the data selection...but that didn't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

nested configured items

$

Hello all,

I'm having problems using a configured item to call out a different configured item multiple times. Each time I get prompted for an answer on order entry, but the first answer applies to each item in the package. Let me try and diagram this:

{configured item a}
question 1:
question 2:
question 3: (numeric answer)
<rule based on q3 answer>
{configured item b}
question 1: (numeric answer)
{configured item b}
same question 1: (numeric, but possibly different, answer)
{configured item b}
same question 1: (numeric, but possibly different, answer)
...etc

I've got each instance of configured item b on a separate line in its own separate rule. I get to answer the question multiple times. The problem is the first time you answer the question for item b, that answer gets applied to each instance of item b instead of what was answered the second, third, etc. time.

What is the best way for me to set this up? Am I doing something very wrong or using the wrong tools?

Thanks in advance

Data Dictionaries per Data Structure

Hey folks

currently we are upgrading to EnterpriseOne 9.2 from 9.0 and facing the following problem.

We modified different forminterconnect/reportinterconnect Data Structures.
Now we are trying to find as well as our modifications and modifications made by oracle to merge them.

We know that each Data Dictionary has its own ID in a Data Structure and you cannot mix them up
becouse it would result in NER-compilation errors and/or wrong mappings in each interconnect.

What we've already tryed:
- comparing XRefs -> if there's a Data Dictionary multiple times in a Data Structure the XRefs only show them once per Data Structure
- find a table consisting of the Data Structure content (prferably with ID and description) -> couldn't find such a table

So what would be the best way to find the deltas in those Data Structures?

Greetings
Patrick

Launching a subsystem returns warning

Hi folks,

I have written a C++ BSFN that is given me a return flag of 1 everytime I call it, but it works and calls the subsystem successfully.
Any idea why it would give a warning but actually work?

WRK:GTSOVEPY_30181888_DConnector Return value is 1 for RRDLaunchR554216AsSubsystem. (BSFNLevel = 3)

Data Browser blocked when optimized by Riverbed

$

Has anyone run into Data Browser or any other part of JDE blocking or invalidating a user session because of the tag Riverbeds place in the HTML? Working with a customer that claims based on the JDE and F5 logs that the Riverbed X-RBT-Optimized-By tag that is inserted into the HTTP header by default of any session they optimize is preventing users from access the Data Browser application in JDE.

[SEVERE][HTML88_PD920_8150][RUNTIME]***Security Alert***
Malicious script attack has been detected. The user session will be invalidated.
The parameter Name is:e1.service. The scripts are:ResourceCanonicalsJS"></script><script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript" src="/jde/share/js/e1.js"></script><script>_e1URLFactory = new E1URLFactory('Servlet','/jde/','/jde/URLBuilderService.mafService?e1UserActInfo=false

I'm trying to find out if this is simply due to a configuration setting in JDE or the F5. I see plenty of blogs talking about optimizing JDE via Riverbed and other products and none talk about needing to do anything special. Any advice available would be appreciated.

Ugh, did Oracle mis-implement jdeSnprintf ?

$

... with snprintf, you should be able to print zero characters into buffer NULL to find out how many characters you need in a buffer, e.g.

nSize = jdeSnprintf(NULL, 0, _J(""%s %s"), szName, szValue);

You can then jdeAlloc nSize * sizeof(JCHAR) and know it will be the right size.

However, when I call the above it immediately explodes with a memory violation. I suspect JDE have messed this up. It's not #defined as a macro to a character set defined snprintf or snwprintf.

Remarkably, jdeSnprintf never appears within the application source code!

Is it just me or has anyone else run into this apparent flaw?

Cheers

Security Kernels not responding

$

We had an incident over the weekend where the security kernels seemed to stop responding, but were not shown as 'Zombie/Stopped'.

The symptoms were reported as UBE's in 'Waiting' status, and I had all kinds of messages in my we logs about 'Security System Failure', just a generic message.

When I investigated I had 6 security kernels running, the logs were normal, just the duplicate key on F9312.

I had to kill all the kernels and when the new ones started, all was well.

I did find this in two JDENET_N logs:

1955/12 MAIN_THREAD Fri Nov 2 17:40:52.479432 netflow.c1032
1955 (pid) in routeOutgoingQueue(), unable to send message: sd=5, msgId=1, msgHost=172.16.12.62, msgPort=6016, sendingHost=172.16.1

The sd= was different but the time was about the same.

When I checked support the above message it seemed to point to RTE, which we don't use.

Any ideas what the issue might have been? I'm loath to open a JDE Ticket as I cycled JDE services on Sunday morning, 'just in case' and finding the 80 kernel logs in my 100K+ logs is too damn hard.

Base Edwards Order Processing

Hello all,

The company I work for is researching how much effort would be needed to go back to base Edwards. Our list of customizations is larger than we would like, especially since we are looking to upgrade within the next 6 months. We currently have a process that gets the order from 524 to 540 and other statuses depending on the particulars of the order, but never beyond 540. What jobs are run in base Edwards to get the order from 524 (Order Entry) to 540 (Pick Slip Print)?

Thanks!

P4210 to Price History

$

Hey Everyone,
Does anyone know the business function that P4210 uses to write a Price History Record to P4074-Pricing History? When UPC2, URAT, or EUSE is filled in during Order Creation, the price records are written to F4074. I would like to replicate this when an order is revised. I've been looking at B4200310, but I'm inexperienced in working with P4210 so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I need to update the below purchase order information once the user press OK in Supplier Voucher Entry ( P0411)

F0411.PO

The above fields are not critical fields so that I'm trying to do a simple update operation in the Post Button Clicked event of the voucher entry screen. The code is given below. But when the system execute the update statement, it goes to "Processing..." and does not end.

Code:

R42800 GL distribution

This might not be the best place for this. But I can't think of way to do what I'm about to explain below without custom development. So before I make my own wheels I'd figure ping this group.

I'm working on invoicing a new product line we are bringing into JDE. The invoicing GL distribution requirements seem to be outside of the scope of the R42800. I come here looking for some opinions ideas

Example of something I can't find out to do.

GL Cat Code 1001: pull from transportation the billable freight for the order. (Freight is included in the price so it's not line item) - that much goes into a freight rev account

GL Cat Code 1002: List Price minus 10% + an addition NI line added manually - that much goes to another account

Remaining Balance goes to another account(if any balance remains)

These are just starters.

Thanks for reading.

JDE Informatica Integration

Hello,

We are currently on E1 910 (9.1) for JDE and 10.2.Hotfix1 for Informatica powercenter. This is the tool release which is supported by the informatica. We are planning to upgrade our JDE in coming months and officially informatica is not supporting 9.2.x at this time. Does any forum member(s) have experience upgrading for 9.2 with Informatica powercenter.

Any input from the forum will highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Receiving a target exception inquiring on a 19000 line transaction.

We are on E1 9.0, tools 9.1.4.7.

Recently when trying to inquire on a large F0911Z file transaction, the inquiry will freeze around 12000 lines, then encounter an error ('Unknown Exception: class java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException->null).

The app in question is the Store/Forward Journal Entry app P0911Z1. We have an interface process that loads the F0911Z1 with GL transactions from another system. In this case, the incoming file is over 19000 lines. This creates one transaction in the F0911Z1. However, there are errors such as business unit setup or missing accounts, so the user has to inquire then fix these errors. When trying to bring up the transaction in F0911Z1, it will begin reading and show its progress. When it gets to about 12000 it freezes, Sometimes it 13000 or 14000 but its around there it freezes then returns the error noted above for Unknown exception.

I've also attached agent and root logs from the web server. We use Oracle Web Logic on a windows box.

From the logs around 7:48 pm or so on 11/14/18, it appears there is maybe a memory issue.

So any thoughts from anyone on where to look to see what memory limits might be changed to address this would be appreciated.

Using WINSQL with JDE E1 9.1 to interrogate tables

Hello,
I’m looking for a bit of technical advice. I have many years of JDE World experience and am very familiar with the JDE Database. However I am currently doing a short term contract with a JDE E1 9.1 customer , writing some technical specs. Whilst I am aware of data browser my preferred method of accessing the JDE E1 data I need is via SQL. With DB2 I would often have a series of SQL queries written in WINSQL Lite. I am hoping to be able to do the same in JDE E1 9.1. That is my question. Can I run a statement like "Select * from f4801 where wadrqj>118220 and wadrqj<118227” in WINSQL to retrieve the data that I require.

regards
Pat
