Transfer with a Hard Commit

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle transferring an item that
has been hard committed to a sales order ?

When we do an inventory completion, the serial number and location is
updated back to the sales detail. This creates the Hard commit. We then
have the need to transfer this part from one location to another within the
same warehouse before it actually ships, however the hard commit remains at
the completed location.

Does anyone know how we can work around this?
