Mfg Configured Items - how to record misc material costs

Hello,

We are a discrete mfg company using average cost. We use X charges for supplies like thread and glue during mfg to add a fixed amount per unit. We are new to configured items and need to know how to account for those types of material in standard/configured costing. Accounting would like to see those charges separated out by type (glue, thread....) if possible. I see where it is stated that X charges are not allowed on configured/standard items.
