How to have different item UOM per branch plant

We use ST/OT to get an item from a sister plant, they stock in EA UOM, we need to stock and use on BOM in GM. Is enabling UOM Conversion by Branch Plant (not turned on) the solution? Secondary UOM? Any and all suggestions/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

How to use NER's to insert IR transactions into the EnterpriseOne Cardex

I am very new to EnterpriseOne development, but I need to know if I can call an NER from C# ASP.Net code and call the NER similar to calling a SQL Server stored procedure, passing it parameters for the IR transaction that I want to insert into the EnterpriseOne Inventory Cardex?

Any information about doing anything even similar to this would be very helpful.

The candidate should be able to manage multi-million dollar complex enterprise projects technology projects. Certification as a project management professional (PMP) is highly desirable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.

Experience: Five (5) years or more of professional level information systems experience in system design and analysis or in network systems (LAN/WAN) in a large enterprise environment, including one year project management experience.

License/Certificate: A valid California Class C driver license with an acceptable driving record required by time of appointment and throughout employment.
Certification in multiple disciplines or multiple certifications in a focused discipline desirable.

Must pass a background investigation

Standard Business Function for inserting IR transactions into the Cardex

is there a Standard Business Function for inserting IR transactions into the EnterpriseOne Inventory Cardex? And if so, can anyone tell me the name of that function and how to call it?

Preferably I would like to call such a function from either a SQL Server stored procedure using a linked server connection or by calling it from C# code inside an ASP.Net web application.

Update F4211 order with MBF Issue

Hi guys,

I'm writing a batch application that must among others things update the S010 field in F4211. By using MBF (BeginDoc on LBH DOCO, EditLine in Do section, ENDDoc in LBF DOCO), I can update all the fields I need except S010 which is not in the data structure.
It is not in PreProcess either. Is the only way a manual update on the table just after the EditLine call? Or will that not work because of transaction?
I'm also thinking about writing directly in the cache opened by BeginDoc, but I'm unsure on how to do that.

Order Line Type - Inventory Interface "C" for G/L Account and Stock

We have tried to setup a new process using a custom line type (ZZ) with inventory interface set to "C". We are having problems with inventory PO receipt and receipt routing. We can receive the PO with no problems (P4312)...everything works great. However, when we try to process via Receipt routing (P43250) and try to specify the lot number and memo fields (using application P42053 where OP = '4' on routing screen) we end up having problems writing to the F43121 table and end up getting a blank GL Class Code written in PO receipts Ledger (F43121).

Has anyone seen this issue before. Oracle has raised a BUG for this problem but just thought I would post here is case someone has seen this before and has a workaround. I do have a workaround where we specify the lot number at PO receipt into DOCK but this will not work as receiver's may not know the location/memo at this point prior to inspection, etc.

Server Migration to different data Center.

We are migrating the servers from one data center to other data center and Servers names going to change.

Deployment server – We planned to install from start and import the local database .

E1 and JAS servers(IBM websphere) are on Linux . On New data center we get new Linux servers with different name .
(E1 and JAS servers )Copy all the folder structure/files from old data center to New data center. So here do we need to install E1 and JAS server again ? or just copying works and renaming some files pointing to New servers will work ?

EnterpriseOne 8.12
Tool release 8.98.4.2

Configurator Cache Update BSFN B3202660 SegmentValueCacheUpdate

Hi All,
Has anyone used BSFN B3202660 SegmentValueCacheUpdate. I am attempting to update the configuration cache to no avail. Would appreciate advice on correct parameters to pass into this business function.
I am doing this in E920 retrofitting from 812. The configuration has changed a bit in 92 so I am having to tweek the retrofit and therefore thinking I could do it by using the update cache bsfn.
The reason I am updating the cache is because we pick up a configuration string for a selected item configuration. The same configuration then needs to be run and stored (behind the scenes) for the same segment choices except the first segment which is changed for each currency held in a UDC. Each configuration, (the same except for the currency change) is then stored in a table and the same item number assigned to it. We then use this in Sales Order Entry to assign the relevant item number. JDE would otherwise assign a separate item number for each currency configuration. We then assign the configuration to future orders using our stored configurations for each currency.

I would like to update the segment and then run B3202300 Load Component Data for each currency configuration to return the relevant Configuration String CFGSID.
Here is an example of parameters being passed in. I am unable to update the segement in cache and the Load COmponent Data returns the configuration for the item with a blank segement 5 currency code.
I have also noted that in 812 the bsfn B3202300 UpdateSegmentCache exists as it does in 920 - for my purpose I am assuming I should be using the 92 bsfn B3202660 as above.

SBL - Subledger Length Issue

The Data Item SBL is 8 char long. Someone created Business Unit with more than 8 chars.
Now, we are unable to use Sub Ledger for Business Unit ( sub ledger type C).

What is the alternative way to put these kind of BUs in sub ledger.

Best way to avoid conflict when assign unique number for DOCO in F4801

Data in this table F4801 is being populated by two sources, E1 and a third party system. The 3rd party system will assign a value to the DOCO field (Can not change this) and E1 will assign a value to it too if they use an E1 app to create data for this table.

What's the best way to avoid conflict if the 3rd party system and E1 both assign the same number then one of them will fail. DOCO is a numeric number so I can't add something like a letter to make it unique to E1. Do you have any ideas?

Purchase Order cancelled after submitted for approval

Hi List
We have an order in which all the lines are approved . Now a change order has been added and submitted for approval. When it is under approval process, the originator has cancelled the change order. But, the order still remains as awaiting approval and the approver cannot be able to approve or reject the order. Please help me to know how the order can be removed from awaiting approval status.

I would like to know if someone knows how can I move out of TRAN a negative quantity. I don´t know how this happened but the quantity was received completely and it is already paid but I still can see 400 ea in transit but I can´t do any operation as is negative.

One model work order for mulitple unit numbers

Is there anyway that one model work order can be assigned to multiple unit numbers? We are looking to create one model that can will contain documentation on the assigned tasks that will be used on similar types of machinery. So instead of creating a different model work order for each unit number we'd like to use one model work order and assign it to multiple unit numbers.

Creating command help

I've created a new command and want to generate help behind it.

I've managed to get very basic help attached, which displays when I am prompting my command and press F1.
That help has ONLY the description of my command, and the normal function keys seen when displaying help.

Per the IBM Knowledge Center for "Generating UIM source for command help",
I'm trying GENCMDDOC. I've tried both GENOPT(*UIM) and GENOPT(*HTML)

When I look at my joblog, I see:
Command documentation file created for MYCMD in MYLIB.
File is /MYLIB_MYCMD.UIM.

I cannot find this file in MYLIB.
The / causes me to believe that this MIGHT be in the IFS, but I don't see it there either.

So my questions are:
Where would I find the file /MYLIB_MYCMD.UIM?;
Am I able to edit this to add the extended help that I'd like to be shown?;
Would this be edited using SEU?

For Each - How do you quickly find the end for each?

Hi folks,

As the subject says, I can see For Each sections in my template but I'd like to quickly know where the End is. This isn't easy to do in MS word

I have quite a complicated template with many repeating sections
How do others do it?
