We are on E1 9.0, tools 9.1.4.7.

We use business function B4700230 to copy a flat file as part of some of our interface processing. We get a file from Concur for expenses that we process and create journal entries. In this process we copy the original text file form Concur to an archive location. Usually the file is around 9,000 KB and takes just a few minutes to copy. The current file is 15,000 KB and has been copying for several hours. Its copying but very slowly.

Any ideas from anyone why a file about 50 % larger than normal would take so long. Its still running and appears it will take about 6 hours to do a copy of this file using B4700230.

Or any ideas as to where to start looking? I've looked at JDE server manager but there appears to be nothing I can see to explain the slowness. All other aspects of JDE are running fine and normal. Coincidentally, if we look back to year ago, this large year end file form Concur also took a long time to run. So its almost like there is some size above which , this function does its copy functionality very slowly.

I need to do some custom functionality for F986110 - Job Control Status Master. For example, we have only one job queue of size 8. If some jobs hanged for 1 hour, I need to get email alert.

My intention is to create a report to check the started date of UBE, and send alert if it running for 1 hour.

But where I can find the table ? In which data source ? How can I override the data source using ER. ?

Hello,

I have successfully added Form Control errors using "jdeSetGBRErrorText", but am now looking to add errors at the Grid Row Column level. Can someone point me in the right direction? Again, I would love to do this through a custom C BSFN.

Hi folks,

I've been tasked with making a XML file for bank transmission and am looking at R744002 and noticing it is almost correct, but I need a few new elements etc.
So I am looking at how it works and noticing the use of N7090010 to first create the file and then add and free the elements.

Is it as simple as that? Is there a special trick to using this BSFN? In the past I have just made the file myself using OpenFlatFile(B34A1010.OpenFlatFile) and then WriteOneLine(B34A1010.WriteOneLine) to start the <element> variable </element> myself.

Now I could sdo this again but would like to starty using what E1 have sent in the box :)

So is there a knack to using these or not?

Hello and a Happy New Year,

we've created a customer sales detail application.
By using a row exit, the address number (AN8) is taken and an URL (to Siebel CRM (single sign-on)) using the AN8 is opened in a new browser tab displaying the customer page in Siebel CRM.
With each new tab, a new session is initiated. This was changed by JDE once upon a time.

As we don't want to have several session opened in tabs and also get a warning when opening another session in a new tab, if a session already exists in another tab,
we would like to open the new tab in an already existing tab (to override the session).
We got the idea to search for a tab with the title containing "Siebel CRM" and use this tab to open the URL from the row exit.

Question: Is there a way in E1 (maybe with java script) to find a tab with a specific name and open the URL in this tab? Or are there other ways to realize this?

We implemented E1 for our financials on 01/01/16 and are running 9.1 on servers, plus we have a homegrown application on our iSeries that outputs costs which we would like to load into E1 to update the repair costs on specific Equipment.
These costs been processed through the A/P application in E1, but are not assigned to Equipment because it is not known which piece of equipment the 'purchased product' will be used on and charged to.
The costs are also tracked in our iSeries application and when the 'purchased product' is used on a piece of Equipment in this application a detail record is written to a flat file charging the cost of the product to the piece of equipment it was put on.
Since the cost has already been processed through A/P and updated the proper 'Equipment Repair' G/L account in E1, we do not want to have the costs from the iSeries to update the G/L account again.

Is it possible to add Costs in E1 from a third party system, assigning it as Repair Cost to a piece of equipment, but not affecting G/L?
Or am I looking at this wrong and there is a proven solution?

Hi
I copied standard BSFN B4100910 to custom B5841009 and made some mods to it. It works fine on client and builds successfully.
The standard BSFN has DLL COPBASE, where as for the custom, I changed it to CCUSTOM. But it started failing on the server. I have checked the code and the mods are not too much, or out of sync that would cause BSFN to fail on server.
After this i changed the custom BSFNs DLL back to COPBASE, but still it fails on server.
Please help.

I am assigned to design and build an application for JDE. I have the AIS installed but i am confused as to which platforms should i build on as there are little to know about the MAF & ADF.

I am trying to build an entry screen which writes to a customised table.

Do share with me your thoughts and also if anyone has done this before sharing the guide with me would be great.

We are running EnterpriseOne 9.0

We currently have upper level forecast at the finished good level that blows down in typical MRP manner (planned work orders and planned purchase orders) as well as actual sales order demand at the finished level.

At present, we have been instructed to build only to the actual sales orders and not to forecast.

My question is this:
Can we set MRP to disregard the forecast at the Finished Level so that only actual sales order demand only blows down through MRP? I could then use safety stocks on the purchasing and manufactured side to drive demand, as we have been instructed to use the safety stocks.

I know this is a somewhat backwards way to do things, but I simply cannot remove the forecast at the finished level at this time.

Any insight is appreciated.

I installed JDev 11.1.1.9 since it's certified to use with JDE 9.2. When I click on Invoke JDeveloper button on a JP or J object, when it opens up JDeveloper, it did not create the application DV920 and project JXXXX or JPXXXX like it did with JDeveloper 11.1.1.5 and JDE 9.1.

Do you know why?

Hi Gurus,

I have been working on a table trigger on the F0911 (After Record is Inserted) which will take an F0911 record, determine if it is eligible for splitting, and if so, create a reversing record and multiple split records.

Unfortunately, I have only gotten to creating messages in a custom table before I started getting errors related to "ASYNCHRONOUS BUSINESS FUNCTION ERROR" and "TRANSACTION ERROR" (see below for complete errors). So this was narrowed down to an Table I/O Insert to a custom table.

I was able to avoid the errors by going in to the application, finding the F0911 End Document function and unchecking the "Include in Transaction" checkbox (in multiple locations). Philisophically I feel this is not the way to go, since there could be multiple more applications that would need this modification, so I am looking for alternatives.

Can anyone recommend (with experience) using subsystem jobs, or database triggers, or any other method/combination that might accomplish this task? I would even still consider table triggers if I could get around the transaction processing issues without modifying the Applications/MBFs.

I worry that since I am using MBFs to create the new records that the recursiveness will also make the table trigger alternative a poor choice.

Hi folks,

I've been asked to look at why users can't create their own grid format and sequence P3111 W3111A the way they want

Default is DOCO and OPSQ, but they want their own.

So is this a bug or an operational necessity with the parts list? I can't see anywhere in the code where resequencing is disabled?

Hi

I have a custom UBE that loads records from a CSV file and import relevant data in F4101Z1. I call R4101Z1I in my custom UBE twice(using same version ZJDE0001) using report interconnect, the first time for inserting rows in Item Master(F4101) and the second time for Item Brach(F4102). However in the first attempt the Item Master record gets process successfully however for the 2nd execution for Item Branch records the report comes out blank ( header columns are there but no relevant rows from F4101Z1 are displayed with their EDSP status).

If i run the R4101Z1I manually(using Batch Versions) and provide it relevant EDBT and EDTN(In Data Selection) for those Item Branch rows in F4101Z1, the report then runs successfully and all data gets processed successfully. So that means there is no issue in the data mappings and i have all the relevant data setup properly. Any ideas/solutions are welcome.

For example , i have 1 Item Master and 3 Item Branch records to insert

1. Insert for Item Master in F4101Z1 , Row#1 (EDBT = 16398 , EDTN = 104303 , EDLN = 1)
2. Call UBE( R4101Z1I , ZJDE0001) , i provide it EDBT = 16398 , EDTN = 104303 and EDLN = 1.
3. Report appears with Success status
4. I check the EDSP of Row#1 , if its Y then i get the ITM and AITM
5. Insert another row in F4101Z1 Row#2 ( EDBT = 16398 , EDTN = 104304 , EDLN=1, ITBR = 2 , TNAC = 'A' , LITM = Row#1.LITM, ITM = Row#1.ITM, AITM = Row#1.AITM and other )
6. Insert another row in F4101Z1 Row#3 ( EDBT = 16398 , EDTN = 104304 , EDLN=2, ITBR = 2 , TNAC = 'A' , LITM = Row#1.LITM, ITM = Row#1.ITM, AITM = Row#1.AITM and other )
7. Insert another row in F4101Z1 Row#4 ( EDBT = 16398 , EDTN = 104304 , EDLN=3, ITBR = 2 , TNAC = 'A' , LITM = Row#1.LITM, ITM = Row#1.ITM, AITM = Row#1.AITM and other )
8. Call UBE(R4101Z1I , ZJDE0001) , i provide it (EDBT= 1680, EDTN=1451) , i dont pass it EDLN at this point.
9. Report comes empty.

I have attached the log files, the R4101Z1I_ZJDE0003*.log is the report interconnect call from Step-8. Upon reviewing it i realize that on Line#1131 , its calling
